Lovely hotel, only issue would be no kettle in the room but suspect that is common with Swiss hotels in general having found the same elsewhere in Switzerland

We only went to the restaurant attached to the Hotel for some lunch. The food was nice and the service was satisfactory. The cost was reasonable for Switzerland but dear for anywhere else. Nice views across the lake.

Service very friendly, let that be said first. The food was fine, but not great. What I didn't like about this locale is the furnishing and ambiance inside the restaurant. It felt cold and empty. Had the weather been nicer, they would have a very nice outdoor seating area which seemed much more apealling.

This hotel was recommended to me by a local. I read the on-line reviews and decided to go with the recommendation - big mistake. The Hotel Beau-Rivage is really poorly run.

I was charged for a lake view when the view was actually of a wall and bedroom of a neighboring building. When I was informed that this is a lake view but only when you are outside on the balcony in the fall I seriously thought the hotelier was joking. He was not. He informed me if I want to argue the point then argue with the manager. I really would rather not. Do not take room 108. The breakfast was non-existent except for some bread and yogurt. For some reason they could not find the time to bus any of the tables and I had to find my own cutlery.

There are far better hotels for the money to stay at that are very close by.
