We just wrapped up our wine & food pairing class at Algonquin College. ⠀
Super fun (and delicious) course! Highly recommend to anyone interested.
With good wine on the brain now, It’s got me thinking back to my friend’s bachelorette this past summer. When we hosted a wine tasting event thanks to Your Everyday Sommelier . These tasting cards played off the bride’s wedding theme and made for the perfect notepad when trying all those fantastic wines! #wishtreeinvites⠀

Do you need a wax seal?⠀
The short answer; no but yes.⠀
The long answer lists off all the awesome reasons wax seals continue to dominate the wedding scene. ⠀ • Each one is unique; ⠀ • They add another tactile element to your suite; ⠀ • They can be any colour; ⠀ • You get your own monogram/logo; ⠀ • It’s just really cool to add your own “brand” (so official). ⠀
I could go on as to why I love wax seals so much but if you through our feed, you’ll see exactly why they’re so awesome. ⠀

Are you a snooze button smasher? Or a rise n' shine kinda person?⠀
Typically, I jump out of bed when my alarms goes off at 5:17am. (Yes I’m one of those weird ones who likes to wake up at weird times) I've got my routine and a limited amount of time before I lose my "me" time and need to prep the kiddlets. ⠀
Lately though, I've been working real late trying to get through my to-do list. Getting 3-4 hours of sleep a night is starting to wear on me. BUT I found this quote gave me life. All these extra hours of work, short sleeps and long days are for my dream goal; creating gorgeously personalized design/stationery pieces for awesome clients like yourself. #wishtreeinvites

It's bitter sweet. We're so incredibly grateful for all the love, inquiries and bookings that we've received to date. It also breaks our heart to have to call it so early and potentially miss out on all these incredible weddings coming up.⠀
Saying no is not easy for me. Call it FOMO, call it having a big heart. Whatever you do, don't ever think that you're not important or valued to us.⠀
For our brides who we've already booked to meet in 2019—we're still a go! Our spots include you.⠀
Unfortunately for anyone new, we'll have to bow out. But we know some very talented stationers we can recommend. ⠀

Melis and Dan met and were engaged in Ottawa, but they've travelled the world together. They brought their love of travel throughout their wedding by referencing places they've been to. We loved everything about their style and theme! #wishtreeinvites

Back from a week in Mexico and it all feels like a dream. ⠀
Who pissed off Mother Nature?! ❄️ ⠀
Choosing to focus on the pretty instead of (Urgh) winter, we worked with queen entrepreneur Earleen of Revelle Bridal to brand her newest venture; The Mrs. Jacket. You’ve surely heard of the Mrs Jacket wave (jacket worn by brides), right? Well this project goes farther than most. Custom designed vintage jean jackets which tour the world from bride and bride BUT each bride then leaves a note in the pocket for the next bride to read. I LOVE this.⠀

Who’s getting married down south?⠀
You can still keep things classy amongst the standard sand and palm trees. No need to have hibiscus flowers and airplanes attached to your suite. ⠀
Take a note from Stephanie and Christian—ivories and golds with a simple ode to their destination. Total perfection. #wishtreeinvites⠀

It’s always so fun to play off themes. ⠀
This destination wedding invite played off the plane ticket. I’m such a sucker for things like this. While still making it beautiful, we played with Mexico’s brightly coloured floral details and nods to a boarding pass. (Which I just learnt is a thing of the past and everyone just uses their phones now. #oldaf) #wishtreeinvites⠀

I grew up with this plant in our house. It's over 10ft tall and still standing in my parents main entrance. I wasn't allowed to chop down a leaf for my flat lay (lame), so sand will have to do.⠀
This suite paired with the luggage tag I posted. This styled shoot with Opportunity Knocks Events happened in Mexico and I’m still a little bitter they didn’t need me there for moral support. Ha! Rich dark greens and the monstera leaf were all we were told, so we ran with it! #wishtreeinvites ⠀

While we escape for a week to recharge our batteries, I’m going to leave you with a week of destination inspiration. ⠀
Starting with this gorgeous styled shoot with Opportunity Knocks Events . This invite suite was anything but your typical palm tree invite. We pulled in a sketched monstera leaf as a modern detail and let the typography stand out through deep greens and soft cotton paper. The travel tag made a great favour. #wishtreeinvites⠀

This week, I'm doing something I haven't done in a long while.⠀
Something I have craved, missed and needed so bad, but responsibilities, finances and time were not lining up. ⠀
But then! The decision was made for me! The husband surprised me with a trip down south for the week to recharge our batteries. Not going to lie, this past week has been mayhem trying to wrap everything up and organize the kiddos for when the grandparents come BUT the hustle's always worth it, right? ⠀
Self care is so important and yet it's at the bottom of my to-do list. Here's hoping I can actually turn it off and rest. Shall we take bets? #wishtreeinvites ⠀

Krista is truly so gifted at what she does. She was able to take a very broad concept and narrow it down so perfectly. From our save the dates to our invitations the flow was seamless. Krista waa able to the everything together with our ceremony stationery as well. We had so many compliments on our invitations. They really set the tone perfectly for our wedding day. Our guests knew exactly what to expect thanks to Krista's fantastic work!

I have to put this company on the highest pedestal I possibly can . Krista and her team are the most amazing , caring and attentive ppl I have ever worked with in planning my wedding.
After having a very bad experience twice with other graphic designers my hopes were very thin of finding someone to put together my dreams and ideas for invitations. So I decided let's try this company. After searching for someone and explaining my situation Krista was hands down the most caring person and made me feel as if I had never been through a bad experience before . We met i showed her what I envisioned I received a quote and we had started the process of designing. She then sent me within a few weeks,three invitations which I honestly could not choose which one I liked, I thought them over for a week and then decided I had to choose components of all of them because they were all so beautiful!. We put together a new invitation combining all three samples and I was in love colours flowers design wording everything was perfect and exactly what I wanted and more ! Within a short time she had a sample for me to approve we met again and she didn't waist any more time in producing my mass amounts of invitations. It was quick easy and so painless, she explained things in detail and also didn't force her design on me if I wasn't happy then she would have gladly sat down at the drawing board again to help get my design right. She listens to detail takes all factors into consideration and produces a real piece of art .
I couldn't be happier to rate this company as a 5 star and more and am so proud to give out my invitations ( it will really set the standards for our wedding so to speak ) This girl can do anything you want I know this because she has made my nightmare of invitation design a true success! Words can barely describe the incredible talent of Wishtree Invitations! Krista and her team are unmatched in their ability to create beautiful and unique design work for their clients. I have worked with Krista for years on a number of personal, creative, and professional projects and continue to be blown away by their work. Krista is incredibly professional, prompt, and passionate with her work. Her patience with her clients is amazing and a clear indication that her work is driven by pure passion for her creative art as well as working with her clients. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Wishtree Invitations & Designs. From our first meeting about our wedding Save the Dates, to the final stages of our Thank you cards, Krista was professional, courteous and creative. Despite being so busy and high in demand, the turnaround on our designs and printing was outstanding and we always felt like we were in the best of hands. Not to mention, the design that Krista came up with for us was ADORABLE! We received so many compliments from family and friends. We will definitely be using Wishtree again for our future milestones and events. Thank you Wishtree for an amazing experience. You played a huge role in making our Big Day the best day ever! :)

Wishtree is able to take a concept and turn it into a piece of art! I have worked with Wishtree on many projects and each time I am blown away by the love and workmanship that is put into each design! When handed the final product you can't help but fall in Love!
