Kind of a divey place but it's got such great character and a good casual atmosphere. The smoked wings on special on wednesdays are excellent. The wing sizes are pretty decent too

Great place to see local bands play. The food I'd pretty good. One of their salads has whole cloves of garlic on it if you're into making your breath as garlicky as possible.

One of the greatest place to go hang out. Listen to live music, grab a bite, have fun with friends. Last night was my second time visiting this establishment and would recommend it in a heart beat to anyone visiting Calgary or even for local residents that are looking for a fun and charming place!

I've been here about 5 times now, and food quality has been hit or miss. It goes from "Pretty good" to "this is fantastic!". So even if you go on a bad day, it's usually still pleasant food. The atmosphere is great for just a smokehouse restaruant during the day, but at night this place turns full bar/club which is always fun.

I was at the Palomino for lunch, and better yet for the wings. I really enjoy the breaded wings. I had the Carolina Mustard as the sauce, and this one is great. If you enjoy Mustard as a favour, then I think you really need to try this. There isn't any heat above the Mustard, but that really was enough. I will try the smoked wins I think next time, but it's hard to beat their breaded wings. Such great crunch, but they aren't over breaded.

Food was great. The meat was excellent. I like the addition of adding your sauces or eating it as served which was excellent. I can understand the comments about price but parking was $15 for 2 hours so I think the prices are compensating for some city taxes. Portions were fair. A bit more would be nice but i also left feeling satisfied and not over full. The bacon wrapped corn on the cob was unique and very good. I can also say I have eaten grits. I'll be back to try other menu items. Service was good and fast.

Seen this place on the food network Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. Drove 2 hours to check it out. Was worth the drive.

Possibly the best smokehouse in town. The mac and cheese is amazing, their smoked meats are tender and savory. Delicious dinners and quickly prepared lunches.

Love the Palomino! Go for the live music, stay for the atmosphere. This bar is super cool and the bar food served upstairs is good! Service is always great as well.

Are you serious? I've never had frozen ribs in my life before this place. The ribs were so stale you couldn't even pull them apart with a knife and fork! The pulled pork was cold as ice when they brought it to us! On top of that, we had to wait for an hour for this garbage food. The excuse was that they were "busy". This was on a Saturday morning! I saw a few other people leave after they didn't get any service. This place definitely put a damper on our trip. Thanks for nothing.

A casual place for after work drinks & snacks. They do great nachos, and the meat isn't that bad either. Be careful of busy nights because you'll end up yelling to your friends, and unless drinking a lot, likely won't see a server for a while. Chill place to hang out, plus it's right beside the c-train.
