This is a restaurant suffering from an identity crisis. It's on Main St, so it has exposed-filament lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. But it is a sports bar, so it has a grand total of two 40" TVs mounted on the walls.
It seemed like a place that one would end up at for only one of two reasons (neither of them being the very subpar food): 1) You came here for beers with your friends and so don't really care about particularly tasty food or a warm Main St atmosphere, or 2) You ended up coming in here to get escape the cold and long lines of nearby establishments and since it looks pretty hip and is located next to hip delicious places it can't be that bad right? (that was my situation).
Everything about my experience just felt off, from the atmosphere to the food and the service. If you're on Main for good food, don't eat here. It's also expensive for what you get. I'll end my rant with this scathing comment: what kind of sports bar can't serve decent nachos?!response / report this review -

It was a get together with a couple of friends and we loved the food served, great pizza with an array of different varieties. Service was prompt and the ambiance was great. A must visit in the area if you want to relish some good food.

Every time that I come here. The staff is friendly and make me feel welcome, they have the best attitude to costumers and that it is great, the food it is even better, because the food have almost the same taste of food cook in Greece.
If you looking for a place to feel welcome and don't be desapoint on the food, main is the correct spot.
I laugh went the bill come to my table because the teste of the food and the customer service was amazing.
I tough they charge me less of what they suppose to.
This place is the best.

We were up in Vancouver over the summer on vacation. We found this place and ended up visiting twice before we left. They have a large selection of choices. Everything from pizza to burgers. They had a nice craft beer selection too.
We found the wait staff to be polite and professional and our order was brought out in a timely fashion, both times we went there to eat.

was here last night and must say was pleasantly surprised having read some previous reviews. service was spot on. i had the main deluxe burger and it was grilled perfectly with a warm bun (brioche i think). Girlfriend had the santorini vegetarian pizza and it was ridiculously good! Will be back for sure. Good job The Main!

So sad to see the changes in one of my favourite places. We have been patronizing this restaurant since it opened. It changed owners, introduced the Sunday night steak special, incorporated happy hour, played excellent eclectic music, and now all that has changed. Most Sunday nights you would find us there. While the prior changes were adaptations we could live with, these new changes mean I have lost one of my favourite haunts. Loud mainstream music, TV's with sports, and sometimes sport volume also. Obnoxious. Yet another sports bar. Don't we have enough? I will seriously miss a great place for a good value meal and great conversation right in my neighbourhood. Anyone have any suggestions for an alternative? I'll meet you there Sunday night!

Server was very polite, a little slow though, and took a super long time just to bring over the machine for us to pay our bill.
I had ordered a salad which turned out to be not the greatest considering it cost $16.95 for something I could have done a better job at home myself.
The avocado was already brown and disgusting once it arrived, and they were skimpy on everything but cucumber which is all the salad was pretty well.
It now makes sense why all the other pubs around were busy but this one.response / report this review -

Good nachoes are hard to find, but I found them at The Main! The pizza was really good too! The service was great; the staff are very warm and friendly. A great place for beer and nachoes!.and pizza!

Good value for a Tuesday Night lamb special (currently $10.95). The place is roomy but a bit dark. Service is good.

Been here a number of times - pleasant atmosphere, decent beer. Food just ok, bit inconsistent up and down. Prices fair for Main Street. Service reasonably good.

Worse service ever. Offered a discount for incredibly long wait for food. Discount = -10% off, approx $1.25. So generous, right? Perfect way to make up for waiting 45 minutes for a dish, which I am pretty sure she forgot to enter.

The food here is really good. We had the Mediterranean pizza and it was delicious even the crust. It seems understaffed, however. That and the waitresses don't write anything down and they forget to process your order. Getting their attention was a pain.
