Really good food. Just the price is a bit too high for l what they sell, in my opinion. I would go there every day if it was even a little more price friendly.

Cannot hype this place up enough!! Proud to support this business for the last 5 years. The food is always on point plus there's 2 for $6 casears & mimosas all weekend long. I almost always order the fried chicken and waffles but when I wanna try something different, I'm never disappointed. I also love their philanthropic efforts with their sandwich token & clothing program.

Great diner! I was super hungover and opted for there house burger add bacon with their mac and cheese bun which consists of two patties of mac and cheese, breaded and then deep fried. Epic is not even the word it was a thing of beauty! Their deal that day was beer and a burger for $10, can't go wrong. All the servers were polite and friendly, will definitely be going back!

Nice place for lunch. Their burger are good, their fries a little bit less, and they don't know how to serve a beer, but service isn't too bad in general. Prices are correct, and the place is easy to access.

The food is a basic diner style and the menu is simple. This place makes up for all of that with an atmosphere like no other, personable staff, massive social outreach programs, creative decor, and a rich history. Very easy place to spend time. Veggie burger is delicious.

Amazing place to eat. Super friendly staff, very chill diner environment and cheap but very good quality food. Plus you can't beat the $10 beer and a burger deal. Recommended to anyone.

History , food, people, local and price best "fast food type restaurant in the province. Best in the country. Lots of options and great staff, from the server to the cooks. And after eating one can shop in the butcher's for home. I love this place.

It's okay, good price for food but gets my order wrong.
I once asked for one of their sandwiches (that was suppose to come with a pickle) with no mayo and scrambled eggs on the side
They put mayo in the sandwich along with the eggs and no pickles
Another time I went and their milk machine was out.

The place has good customer service but a few things they need to work on.

Awesome food. Great staff. Works with the locals . Ethics! Treats people like people. Love the tokens. Never turns anyone who is hungry away. Gives everyone water, and fills anyone from the streets water bottles! No attitude given just respect!

Quite an unpleasant little operation they have going on there.. I had to sit on a stool to eat which wasn't very comfortable. The food was substandard as well, a ballpark type of burger was what I wound up with. I can't remember anymore if I had coffee or pop with it but whichever it was I do recall not being able to get a refill and having nothing to drink most of the way through eating my meal. The young server just ignored me and socialized with a couple of kids that were hanging out at the opposite end of the counter.

Over all though, whenever I think back it is the antisocial server who completely ignored me while I was there that I'll always remember.

Been here a couple of times on slow days. Service is kind and fast. Prices are reasonable and they serve breakfast all day, so you can have a fast and cheap meal.

This place is a hidden gem. Old style retro cafe vibe, with a lot of booths and a bunch of counter seats along the bar. Great burgers, and a decent selection of beer on tap all for really good prices.
I went for a bacon making course there which was run out of the butchery - a lot of fun (but honestly a bit long for what we learned) but they had some delicious meats for us to try and Colin, the chef that ran the course was an awesome guy.
I'm definitely going back for cheap beers and a bite to eat with mates!

One of the choice picks for diner food. Things are reasonably priced, but, better yet, tastes great! The tomato soup is rich. I love it. I've tried the waffle chicken. The waffle was a bit hard, but, otherwise, good. The Swiss burger is good too. Honestly, it's got good stuff here.
Service wasn't always the best but you can live with it.

Save on Meats is awesome to say the least. Low key and relaxed diner experience, no outrageous pricing structure and you can easy fill yourself on the average meal.

I've heard from locals of the burgers having a good rep, but I wouldn't label this place as a burger joint. Yes, the burgers are good, and you can even "build your own burger", but the reason the burgers are good is because everything from here that I've had was so god damn good, so don't just default to the burger if you find something else you want.

Great place to duck in after a stroll around Gastown to grab a decent lunch meal with a cheeky beer without breaking the bank.
