It's a kind of dark and spooky but at the same time veeeerry cool place. You cannot tell from the outside of the building what's going on inside. The entrance door leads you to a wide dark stairway which os lit up by a small candle on the corner. The menu offers ypu a variety of drinks and interesting cocktails. This is a good place to hangout with friends in even bigger groups.

I'm still a big fan of The Diamond!

They've changed up a few things over the years. Gone are the days of Mexican fare, hello sushi. Honestly, I've never tried the food here before, it's really all about the DRINKS.

They've opened up the back room with large barn-style doors to the main room. It used to have a more "speak easy" feel to it and felt like more of a hidden gem than it does now.

The back room is still my favourite place to be. Keep pumpin' out those 90s jams and you've got our attention.

The drinks are boozy and delicious. Great spot to chill and talk with friends, the music is at a tolerable volume (I must be getting old.)

Careful of those stairs going down (I've heard too many drunken horror stories.)

Used to be my cocktail bar, but now I can easily think of three other establishments that cater to a better experience. I would recommend the servers not (further) delay engaging a new table to take a shot (in full view) with another group celebrating

Really good selection of cocktails; never tried their food, but from what I heard food is failed average. Nonetheless, a great place for some nice cocktails.

Forgot to mention how great the location is too. Right in the heart of Gastown.

Was told we were next in line and 10 minute wait only to see four other groups come in and get seated first. 20 mins later it was time to move on.

Went there for a birthday a few weeks ago. The first thing that hit me when we walked in was the smell. It smelled like your typical bar/nightclub with the musty bar smell. All the windows were wide open so once you sat down it was fine. I would not want to be in there on a cold day with the windows closed. The food was good. The grilled octopus was fantastic and loved every bit. The sushi was good but it was sushi so good is what you expect. I would have given this a 4 out of 5 if it was not for that awful musty smell.

I judge a cocktail place by the Manhattans they make. It's an easy drink to mess up; it requires focus and precision. The Diamond passes with flying colors. Their drink menu is excellent and the food is both flavorful and well-plated. Note the thread - constant attention to detail!

Easily a five-star review. Looking forward to my next visit.

Great atmosphere for drinks and one of the best quality of fish. The Nigiris are great.
If the rolls were more fun and it was a bit less expansive I would have given 5 stars.

I will definitely go back.

Came across this place first thing on our trip to Vancouver. The staff was incredibly nice and full of great suggestions for us tourists. The cocktails were out of this world, really creative and delicious.

This is a really nice bar, It has a great feel about it and the staff are really nice. I feel however that it is way overpriced $13 cocktails and $7 bottles of beer. It can get expensive fast. Back in the day they used to have a can for $5 for the price conscious. They should bring that back for the people in the know even if its not on the menu.

There is a really cool hidden bar around the back as well if you get a chance to check it out.

Also if you have a hard time hearing, the place can get pretty loud and the sound is very echoey.

If you are not price conscious you will love this place.

Honestly, some of the best drinks in the city (Pro tip: get the Buck Buck Mule). The service is great and accommodating, and the music is bumpin. A local crowd and awesome vibe on the weekends. PS. Awesome view if you can get a window table.
