The Bride's Closet came to my rescue and did a fabulous job of fitting my gown to me perfectly on short notice before our ceremony. They also took care of my daughter when preparing for her prom. She looked amazing in her gown and the service and dresses are all top drawer. I would recommend them at any opportunity.

I got my wedding dress here and I couldn't be happier with it. It was the one and I could not have found it without their help. They have amazing service and everyone is so kind and happy to help. I also noticed that they carry dresses from designers that popular in the UK which can give a better variety to choose from (which I find to be a good thing). From my experience, I would highly recommend going here if you're looking for your wedding dress!

I absolutely loved my experience here. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and kept my budget in mind when they were bringing me dresses which a lot of the other stores did not do!
At the end of the day I purchased a gorgeous dress here and I am so happy with everything!

I went to the bridal closet with only six days until my wedding and I got the dress I wanted with last minute alterations and they even opened up on Monday for me for my fitting! Couldn't have asked for better service. They have lots of dresses and it is the cutest store!!

Lots of dresses to choose from and super friendly staff! They even remembered who I was every time I came in. They were very helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns. Seamstress is an amazing lady and I would recommend her to anyone!

My mom and I just got back from this beautiful store and our experience was so great. So many gorgeous gowns to try on, and the house it is in is so lovely. I found my dress and couldn't be happier! I'd been shopping at most of the other bridal stores on the island and hadn't seen any dresses as unique and beautiful! Definitely a must to visit if you are looking for a dress!

My experience at the Bride's Closet was amazing! I went in with a style in mind and tried on quite a few dresses without finding what I wanted. As I was telling them about my wedding and personal style, they said "I have one I think may work". It ended up being not at all what I thought I would end up with and absolutely perfect! I had some ideas about how I wanted it altered and they were all done perfectly. I am so excited for the big day!

I was here 10 years ago for my prom dress, and again this weekend for a bridesmaid dress. The quality of service has remained THE best in Nanaimo. Absolutely AMAZING, top quality staff. They make dress shopping easy, fun, and they care about their clients. They stand out above any one else. Thank you so much for your help! You're all so wonderful and made this dress shopping experience easy, and enjoyable!

I ordered my dress to be custom made by an atelier in Europe, despite warnings from friends and family about scams and rip-offs. Lucky for me, the dress was actually quite beautiful when it arrived, and worth every penny. The only trouble? It was about 5 inches too long! Devastated, I took the dress to two seamstresses, who both told me the only way they could shorten my dress was by severing the scalloped bottom, turning it into a straight hem. I posted to Facebook that very night night to sell the dress. The detail at the bottom was the best part, the part I loved most, and paid most for, so perhaps there was a taller bride who'd enjoy the dress in a way that I couldn't? I felt defeated, and began looking for quick replacements online, resigned to letting my dream dress go, and having to get another one post haste. Then Fern of The Bride's Closet commented on my sale post, asking me to bring it in so that they could have a look. Skeptical, but hoping for the best, I took the dress to the shop and put it on. Fern got down on her knees and pinned, and pulled, and lifted, and finally surfaced with a smile on her face. "We can fix this, no problem!" I returned just three weeks (THREE WEEKS!!!) later to see my dress perfectly shortened, but not sheered of its detail. They did SUCH an amazing job with a dress that other seamstresses said was a lost cause. I was floored! These women are extremely talented. I cannot recommend them highly enough for alterations. If you have a dress that you've been told cannot be salvaged, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP! Give it to The Bride's Closet instead, and give yourself the chance to wear the dress you love most on your wedding day.

I love these two, a fabulous husband and wife duo! They have gone out of their way, on numerous occasions to help us out. From dresses to accessories these are the people you want to see!
Not only did they go out of their way to pick my mom and I up from the ferry (we are from out of town) but when we arrived they directed us to amazing shops and restaurants. We had an amazing weekend all thanks to their care and outstanding customer service.
Now, as if that wasn't enough, my mom and I happened to be on the island for a family visit and I thought I'd stop in to grab the veil I fell in love with when I was their months ago to get my dress. Unfortunately they weren't open that day NOPE, SCRATCH THAT, these two lovely people came in on their day off to help me find what I was looking for ❤ five stars doesn't even sum up how happy I am to be a customer at the brides closet!response / report this review -

With only 5 months to the wedding day I was desperately in search for a dress to wear and discovered this shop that was near by. Fern emailed me the night before to come in the next morning and I was surprised and how quick to responded back! Was really thankful to be able to come in the next day.
The ladies at the store were super helpful in helping me a dress and after an hour and a half we finally found the one! I had tried on probably a dozen and had been zipped up into many and they were patient, understanding, and assuring through the entire process. I didn't feel rushed, or like I was giving them too much to do. It was a great experience being in the store.
I would definitely recommend this place to others, and I am looking forward to head back in :)response / report this review
