The comic book shop has a wonderful selection of graphic novels, and a french section that would shame no small number of shops back in my motherland. The staff is nice and knows their stuff. I'd highly recommend popping in.

was a beautiful hidden gem of my canada-bookstore-tour in Apr, 2017. I found its cool front on my way going to hotel after visit .
1. Staffs were extremely helpful & kind. They helped me to find "something about dog" (though there were much more cartoons about cats) & even took a photo with me (I didnt uploaded that on any internet! So no worries)
2. They have really nice selections. I loved little books / short cartoons / indie cartoons especially. I couldnt find something for me when I visit in Vancouver cuz I'm not a big fan of DC or Marvel.
3. Staffs are also so knowledgeable about other bookstores in Toronto. The lady recommanded me other interesting bookstores (she made a written down list for me) and those were really good :-)response / report this review -

Beatiful store! Very clean and organized! They have very freindly staff and a great selection of books. There is a fairly large manga section and many comic books too. If there is ever a book you want and it's not on the shelf, the staff there will check if it's in stock and go get it out of the back for you. If it not in stock you can order it from them!

One time I was shopping all over town for the new Saga, and all the comic shoo enployees I talked to were like "I guess we're sold out, try this other place." I went to three other comic shops before going to Beguiling. Did they have it? No, they didn't, because it hadn't even come out yet and I was shopping for it three months early, but unlike all the other comic book shops they actually knew this. Since then they have only earned more of my respect. GREAT SHOP!

Best comic store in Toronto. Preferred old location. This smaller store still has the most diverse and interesting selection. Very nice staff

The beguiling is the best comic and art book store in the city - hands down. I can't speak highly enough about the folks who work there (and at the previous Mirvish Village Location). You could spend hours there quietly flipping through books, or drop-in for a few minutes and walk out with a perfect gift. Check it out!

One of my all-time favourite bookstores ever. Especially for your comic book needs! Their location in Mirvish Village, which will soon be torn down due to a condo takeover, is a quirky space that feels more like someone's basement with books from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. It has so much character having been around for so long and accumulated some real hidden treasures.
The staff are always very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate! Great for conversing about some of your favourite reads or getting recommendations.
They also put on very special events where you can meet the artists and authors of your favourite books, get yours signed, and more!
