Fun gay bar, good music but still quiet enough for conversation. Prices are normal for the village, and staff are funny and courteous. 3 pool tables and 2 dart boards too.

Spa XS relies on the fact that it's virtually one of the few gay bath houses left in Toronto's gay village

Make certain to watch out for a guy named Brian. He was wearing a Flash short tonight, ie red shirt, yellow lightning. Severe power tripper. If he takes a dislike to you he will invent whatever excuse necessary to kick you to the curb. Doesn't matter if it's genuine.

If you have any mental health issues you're fucked. He and the rest of the Saturday night staff just hope you're too ashamed of who you are to put up much resistance, so make certain you behave naturally. That way you can potentially prove your story, especially if the same staff member also assaults you without cause.

Too bad it's the one of the few left in Toronto. Do the smart thing and go to Steamworks instead.

Got there with uber and asked how much is a one ticket, and the guy told me the price, then asked if i want a locker or a room.
Said i want a locker. Then out of nowhere he wold me to come back tomorrow, i asked "why there are no people inside?" Then he told me that im too drunk. And I wasn't even drinking.
I asked what have i done to be "too drunk" and he just told me "i just dont wnt you here" and when i asked for the wifi password to get the hell back to my hotel cuz im a tourist and i have no internet he told me that he doesn't wabna give me that.
Shamefull, humiliated and disappointed i got back to the street to search for a texi.
Never gonna get there again and recommend for you wo not do this too

Spa Excess is a reasonably attractive and well-maintained "gentlemen's spa" (gay bathhouse) with facilities such as whirlpool, plenty of showers on the different floors, steam and sauna, work-out room, lounge and bar area for socializing, darkroom areas and a maze for - well, you know, anonymous encounters. There's also an on-site masseur. Rooms include single, double, with TV, with sling, etc. and are available for renewal as often as you want.

There are frequent specials - I appreciate the 11:30 PM - 1AM reduced entry rate of $15 for a room on weeknights - and "theme nights", either with a raunchy edge or catering to different sub-cultures and the arcane categories with which gay guys categorize themselves. There is an outside smoking area (roof top).

Spa Excess has a reputation for attracting an Asian clientele, both twinks and older guys, and I'd say that's fairly accurate. There are attractive guys of all ages, races and body types to meet there, though of course skewed towards young and in decent shape.

Bathhouses in general being targeted to young guys in their 20's and 30's, any older male visiting one had better have his self-esteem and confidence firmly in place - be prepared for negative feedback; and rest happy in the knowledge that the youngster who just sneered at you will get his payback one day, when he, too, is 50+. In the meantime, enjoy being a DILF!
