I love going to places that have new and exciting food and I absolutely loved the lobster mash. So good!

Absolute waste of money, steak wasn't seasoned properly and was not cooked to my specifications. You would think at a steak house they would have this on lock. Soo that being said how can they charge that much for something that isn't seasoned to perfection. I cooked a better steak from superstore last week.

Great place for lunch. Their lunch prices are reasonable and the portions are good. I love their selection of hamburgers.

The food and cuts of beef were great, however the service was exceptionally slow. It took over half an hour to get our order in and several different members of the wait staff took orders from our table so our orders got confused and parts of our order never showed up. It took another half hour to get our bill; the place was not busy at all and seemed to be over staffed.
Despite having off menu kids options I wouldn't call the place kid friendly. Kids drinks came out in gigantic, heavy glasses and their food came out on scorching skillets.
The manager on staff was GREAT but the wait staff were all slacking for sure.
Great spot for a date night if you don't have to go anywhere afterward because you'll be there a while.response / report this review -

Excellent Restaurant. Great wine, very very good meat (best were ate in Canada) and excellent desert.

I had what was one of the best steaks in my life here in March 2017. Their Canadian Prime Sirloin was worth every bit of the price I paid. They did a great job representing "Texas North" and if you visit Calgary, be sure to eat here.

I'm giving this 5 stars because the food was simply amazing. Every bite was way above my expectations. However, the service lacked lustre. Our server met our basic needs but did not offer any additional information, including letting us know about the features. Typically at a restaurant of this caliber I would expect more suggestions, descriptions and clarifications from the server. The food was so amazing that we quickly forgot the negative first impressions at the table. I will assume that our server was having an off day and I would still highly recommend Saltlik.

Great experience for a first time visit! However despite previous agreement with restaurant host they ended up forgetting to acknowledge special occasion we were there for. I needed to remind them that we are celebrating a special Bday, and instead of the promised "champagne on the house" we received two candles on the desert. We just wanted to surprise our daughter with something different. I wouldn't expected if the host wouldn't say that there was no problem making her feel special. Food was delicious, the molten lava cake was fabulous even though we had to wait quite some time for that to arrive. Service could be a bit faster.

My husband and I had our wedding dinner with family at Saltlik last night and it was such a wonderful experience. We had a table of 14 and Colin was our server, and we have to commend him for such a job well done. He was so friendly and he did a great job attending to our large party. The food was phenomenal and the timing of everything was perfect. It was a great ending to our wedding day and we're so glad we picked this restaurant. We'll be back and would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!

Saltlik is a great place. I've never had a bad meal or experience here. The downstairs bar is classy with a chill vibe. Nice spot for entertaining.

Had a valentine's dinner here and it was excellent. I had a perfectly cooked steak and my girlfriend had a delicious meatballs and pasta dish. Good selection on the menu even if you don't want steak. The service was excellent also and we were looked after very well. I would definitely recommend.

Made reservations for Valentine's Day and was looking forward to a lovely evening with my wife. Had never tried Saltlik and was recommended by a friend to give it a try. We were thrilled and over the moon with the food. Steaks were cooked perfectly and came out in good timing. However, the service was less than satisfying. We saw our server less times I can count on one hand and waited over 20 minutes for someone to finally come over to ask if we wanted more water. At this point our table still had dirty dishes and no apology was ever issued during the taking of the payment. The experience was not up to the standards I was expecting, but the food was amazing and out of this world. I wouldn't recommend this place in the future.

A classic Alberta steak house, complete with leather-bound menus and the best quality beef available. The Saltlik Stephen Ave is by far the most consistent steakhouse I've experienced. The meat is always great quality and flavor, the drink menu is constantly updated featuring local and imported craft beer as well as unique cocktails. The servers are very attentive and always knowledgeable.
