I thought it would be more exciting but it was rather plain. However, what excitement could there really be in money. There was at least some interesting information and innovation. Tour times are too sparse and when I checked online I did not see times. We were unwilling to wait so we just walked around and read the signs for ourselves. All the souvenirs were very expensive. Some items did look pretty cool though. The building is very beautiful.

Very interesting tour. One must arrive by 3.30pm to get a guided tour. Open 5-9pm.
Souvenirs are sold at very economical prices.

You're probably not going to find a better mint tour anywhere. This place is pretty legit as far as mints go. Tour itself is pretty limited to the process of making coins so don't expect to see much else. I.e actual coins from the 78 countries or whatever it is they manufacture for.

The tour was really interesting and impressive. The facility was well kept and clean. We could watch the workers from parts of the tour which was cool (someone waved at me :D ). The shop was really cool! They had some really cool collectible coins. Not to mention the gold bar they have inside that they let you pick up and hold.

Great place to have a look around and they have a shop so you can get unique gifts. There isn't too much to do once you've seen it but it is worth the trip. We decided not to pay for the tour as it was pretty pricey and I think it was the right decision because you can go up and have a look anyway. Lovely day out. Well maintained place.

Provides engaging tours. Small exhibit on mint items. Can purchase speciality mint there. Great for young kids and adults to check out.

I was lucky because the mint was in the process of making coins at the time of the tour and that doesn't always happen. But even so, the observation deck was so far from what was happening, the only thing you could observe was people sitting at computers that operate large machines. The tour was discombobulated because it didn't start with the start of the process (5000 lb rolls of metal unloaded off the trucks and placed into the first machine) and end with the finished coins, rather it starts with "the machine shop where machines are repaired", goes to "electroplating" , etc.. The most interesting part of the visit was the "boutique" where you could see and purchase the finished product.

Somewhat interesting tour if you haven't been - some facts you might not expect. Most of the action is only seen from a distance though, and the interesting procedures seem to take place inside covered machines. Not easy for small people to see through the windows, or all that engaging for the very young. Some photo ops outside but no photography on the tour. Souvenir shop consists of pricey collector coins.

Not interesting. You can buy the same coins in post office. Only beautiful building is worth to see.

I went on the tour that they offer, it was extremely boring. Just a long walk looking g through windows of a manufacturing plant. Nothing exciting. This was so disappointing.

Excellent place to see but go during the week to see the coins being made and go on one the exchange weekends to get uncirculated coins at face value

Tours are fun and entertaining, shop is stocked and a great place to look around. Wish the grounds were better set up for enjoying the landscape and fountain.

Ive been here a few times. The guided tours are very informative. Some others are complaining that its basically like any other manufacturing plant... Well yea they mass produce currency so that only makes sense. Last time we went was with relatives from Toronto and took the self guided tour, they had a great time.
