Over the years, Robinson lighting has been providing us with great quality products, service, advice, and fair pricing. A specific shout out to Heather Reinsch for taking such good care of our clients, and us. Heather and Robinson have been patient and eager to serve our growing demand for lighting/electrical fixtures.

Fun place to go explore. Light fixtures are far more expensive than what you find at Rona etc.. But the designs are so cool. I'm still happy with a modern chandelier I bought a few years ago. A keen eye will see a few lights that have been on sale at Costco too.

Love this showroom! Huge selection of lights to choose from and the displays are very tastefully done. The entire staff was very professional and helpful. We worked with Donna and if a rating of ten stars was an option, I would definitely give her ten stars. She has a wonderful design sense and helped us narrow our choices without being pushy! When we were in the store she made us feel like we were her top priority.
Prices are very reasonable and service is outstanding! I definitely recommend Robinson Lighting!!

We were here three times last week to pick up various fixtures for our renos. Each time the service was excellent, I want to particularly thank Bailey who helped me in twice in person and on the phone, and went out of her way to email me photos and information on a particular wall sconce I inquired about. Another staff member also helped us with puck lighting and was very knowledgeable (unfortunately I didn't get her name!). I will definitely recommend this store.

I've been a loyal customer to Robinson Lighting for a very long time, and they have never failed to impress me. I'm slowly renovating my house, and every time I stop by I leave with something I just love!

We were referred to Robinson lighting by friends, and they were everything we were told they would be. They welcomed us and gave us great recommendations for our new home, very personable sales people. They were knowledgeable and friendly and you can really see how the staff are like a family. It's important to support local businesses like this !

I want to appeal to all existing and potential customers of the company and share my negative experience working for this company. I'm a Newcomer in Canada and for two years I was working for Robinson Lighting as a Supervisor Shipping / Receiving Department. I worked hard and achieved much for the company, significantly improving the organizing and performance of the department. I heard many compliments from customers and visitors. However, during my employment period, I had the use of double standards in relation to me, against the background of a pronounced favoritism to other employees.
I also worked some overtime which I have not been paid for. When I asked to be paid, I was told my overtime was not properly approved, although I had already worked it, and my request was denied.
Despite my enthusiasm and hard work, I had to go through a series of rude, disrespectful and humiliating experiences from many employees of the company, as well as being picked on and harassed by my superior. As a result, I was in a constant state of stress and depression, which naturally affected the state of my health.
Many times I applied for help from management to stop the harassment, but it continued. The last case occurred December 10, 2016, when once again, one of the employees insulted me in a very rude manner and humiliated me in the presence of personnel.
I again asked for help from management, to stop the harassment once and for all. I also said that if they are unable to cope with the situation, then I'll have to ask for protection from external organizations.
The action was then taken - I was fired the next morning!
The reason for my dismissal in my letter was false: "the position has been eliminated ". Naturally, they don't want the information about this to be made public. That is why management prefers to just get rid of the worker complaining about harassment, instead of following their own company policies.
I tried to appeal to the owner of the company and its management with a warning that their actions are not fair and even illegal in nature. I asked for the decision to be changed but for a response I only got smirks. My attempts after being fired were simply ignored. Now I have to apply to multiple public and human rights organizations to protect my own rights and somehow survive while supporting a 2 year old baby and looking after my elderly parents with cancer.
This story is a prime example of harassment, favoritism and use of double-standard at work place. It is a shame that such incidents still takes place in a free and democratic country like Canada that values equality, multiculturalism and human rights. I hope that justice will prevail and all illegal actions of the employees, managers and owners of the company will be investigated properly, and that such inequalities will be prevented and the perpetrators will be punished. I consider it necessary that this case be made public and the apology is issued to me along with my unpaid overtime wages and compensation for the harassment and unfair firing.

It takes forever to simply buy bulbs - the staff wander off without getting your info and then a supervisor comes by and wonders why we haven't been helped yet. I would rather go to The Light Show on Waverly where the selection and service are better.

My wife and I are presently in the process of renovating our kitchen, which includes getting new lighting fixtures. I briefly stopped by the store to view some options, Sherrie an associate was very polite and professional, as soon i walked in she was there, greeted with a smile and hello, she immediately asked the reason for my visit and accompanied me to the selection. She even shared brochures with ideas and inspirations, to help make my choices We have not yet made our purchase. Having experienced such positive customer service we are definitely returning to spend a few hundreds dollars in lighting for our newly renovated kitchen and to upgrade a few more areas in our home THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN Sherrie Salnikowski
