Staff very friendly. My child's root beer tasted like mold though. I wouldn't recommend that. Chicken tenders are really good. Fries are excellent. The fish isn't bad, lots of batter on it though. Philly steak sandwich good, kind of greasy.
Thanksgiving dinner was pretty good. I personally wasn't a fan of their gravy, but all in all, it was a very good nite. Service was excellent!
The restaurant was basically dead, so we were seated very quickly. The staff was pleasent and enjoyable to chat to. The food was good, but the service was the highlight.
Came up for an overnighter for a family "obligation" which would explain WHY we are in this part of town; not your typical Vancouver area hot spot.
Got up on Sunday morning and was Jonesing for a "traditional" (verge of ethnocentrism) eggs and bacon breakfast/brunch.well good luck with that.
So we finally decided to settle on Rick's and am now glad we did.
After calling prior to arrival to scope out the menu, upon arrival I found out they push their buffet items. Big mistake.
I asked the guy on the phone if they had omlets and he actually said "no" but they have scrambled options. Well Oops, they have several omlets and other fare we were desiring.
Super friendly and attentive staff. PLUS I got my veggie and meat stuffed omlet. Straight off the non buffet menu.
Food and staff the place is really clean
Been here 3 times now for breakfast and every time I've been, the service has lacked. We were greeted by a very outgoing male host who promptly seated us, but from there the service lacks. Every time we get sat at a table with no cutlery, and it takes 5+ minutes for a server to come greet us. The food is always warm and neatly plated so kudos to the kitchen, but it would be nice if the server checked up on their tables once in a blue moon.
Friendly staff. Very good dinners. Veggies were delicious and not overcooked.
One of my favorite go-to restaurants. The staff here is super friendly and welcoming, and the food is good, hearty portions. Tastes like homemade food. If you haven't tried the chicken tenders they are a must have
It was okay. Went later at night and they only serve select breakfast items which I wasn't too happy about it. But food was still good.
A very nice Ricky's. Decor nice and seating comfortable. Staff friendly, great service. Good food.
We found plastic-y black bits in our kids waffles when we were cutting them up. I know they were inedible as I put my fork in my mouth after I finished cutting them and *I* couldn't chew it and these things were actually cooked into the waffles as we were pulling bits out of the inside. The server offered to replace it for us and then came back to let us know it's not plastic but something to do with the cooking spray they use on the waffle iron. Maybe they should change the spray or clean the grill :/ they forgot to put alcohol in my husband's spiked ice tea drink but they caught it before we got it and fixed it right away. I fed half my pancakes to my kids while they waited for their replacement waffles which took an additional 20 minutes or so. I thought it was odd the pancakes don't come with *anything*. I had to pay extra to have strawberries and whipped cream on them and extra again for some side sausage. Partway through my meal I took a bite of pancake and found a burnt-to-a-crisp garlicky hash brown in my pancake. Clean your grill!! They didn't bring us butter or syrup for anything until I asked. When we got the bill they hadn't charged for my husband's drink - I thought maybe they were trying to compensate us for all the mix-ups but I let them know just in case. Nope - they just forgot so she went and added it to the bill. When we got home we realized she charged him for a regular ice tea not the alcohol versionSo thanks for the $3 discount I guess. What a disaster. Better to travel down the street to the real Ricky's.
