Excellent location within walking distance to Union Station, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, and the PATH underground shopping area. The breakfast buffet is high quality with real scrambled eggs (not reconstituted), real bacon & sausage, and vegetables. Be aware that the hotel does not have a shuttle service from Pearson Airport but the UP Express train ends at Union Station, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We were upgraded to the 2-room suite and were stunned how beautiful and comfortable the rooms were. The only complaint is that the view was non-existent Overall, a great experience here!

Not up to Marriott's normal standard for service. They balance their room inventory by giving "upgrades". Most if not all people book based on bed size. Not this hotel! An upgrade is a larger sitting area and smaller bed! For an overnight?! They wouldn't step up to resolve the issue and neither would Marriott. Huge disappointment.

Great room, great rate, great location. My only negative is the kitchen wear in the suit. I choose these hotels with kitchens because the convience of being able to cook. I'm a chef its what I love to do. I never have high expectations for good cook wear but at the very least it would be passable. The pans in our suite are akin to 1980s camping gear and if you're trying to cook your own food be prepared to ruin it or soak it in oil so it doesn't stick or burn.

Super customer service!
In Toronto for 3 days for work and staying at this hotel. The hotel staff are very helpful, friendly, and welcome you. Will definitely stay here on my next trip! If you like shows, the location is perfect. Easy access to entertainment, dining, with great service at the hotel.

I was recently in Toronto for work and I was so impressed! The front desk staff were friendly and amazingly helpful with all the last minute sales and trade show needs. Sam who helped with these last minute requests went over above to help me out. The rooms are clean and quiet and it made my stay working in Toronto filled with happy memories.

This was a great location too stay at downtown. We were able to walk to most of our destinations. The room was great, clean and spacious enough. Parking was the biggest problem though. The elevators did not connect to the parking lot and since it was a very busy strip, it was hard to find parking at the front of the hotel to drop our things off.

This was a great hotel. The location was perfect, as almost everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. Very affordable rate compared to other hotels in the area, and also has a really great breakfast each morning included. The hot tub is also nice after a long day walking and checking out the sites. Would absolutely recommend.

The Residence Inn has some incredible looking rooms. When we walked in we were 3 hours early to check in, but they were able to help out with that and ended up giving us a HUGE upgraded room! The free breakfast was also very well done. Big selection and hey, ITS FREE! All in all, this place rocks and I would stay here again.

Great location. You're within walking distance of pretty much anything you could want. The hotel itself was very nice - attractive decor, clean, efficient staff. Each staff person I came across was kind and courteous. Our king suite was huge! The full kitchen is a nice touch and would be really useful for more than just an overnight trip. There was even a sectional couch, which made having visitors a breeze. Only one complaint - the room TV had a bad signal, so we struggled to find the things we wanted to watch and at times were unable to get a connection at all. Overall a really good experience. Definitely recommend this place!

Online check-in made things simple. Great service from front desk staff. Platinum Marriott member so offered two free items from the store. Top quality bat tender. Typical breakfast fare. The only downsides would be scrambled eggs that must have been on the hot plate an hour and a room that was huge but needs a refresh.

Great location in the entertainment district and close to Rogers centre as well. Room nice although bed too soft for me. Free breakfast is ok but no waffles or pancakes which is disappointing as that's when I cheat on my diet. Also only serves until 9 :30 and I understand to get people to check out early still should be at least 10 am.

We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Downtown over Easter weekend to visit with our daughter. We were very please with everything about this hotel. We received a room upgrade upon check in and the front desk staff were lovely and helpful. The location is fantastic and it was easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do - The Power Plant Art Gallery, Steamwhistle Brewery, Princess of Wales theatre. The free breakfast was delicious and though it was very busy staff were wonderful and it all ran smoothly. We will definitely recommend it to others and will stay here again.

At the hotel for an offsite work meeting. Didn't see much of the staff. But food provided was good. Sandwiches, salads, desert and cookies (which were really good). Staff seemed very professional. Holding elevators, helping with directions to meeting rooms. All around good experience

The hotel was very nice and the staff were super easy to talk to. The Studio Suite my cousins and I stayed in was nice and spacious for three people staying the night. It was pretty close to Union Station and the walk to Eaton Centre was pretty decent. I'd stay again with them.

Great room, very clean and everything was functional. Staff was professional and very patient when I had questions about restaurants and other places to visit. The hotel also includes a free continental breakfast that offers delicious and variety. The only thing is that it gets pretty busy and it would be hard to nab a seat if you're in a big group. I would absolutely start here again.
