  Didn't provide a quote. Didn't return calls for two weeks. Every call placed to them had the person "with a client, leave a message, he'll call you back". Called over a dozen times. Don't bother.

  I came in with little info on a problem with my BBQ (no idea what I was doing) and Brett did everything he could to help me with patience and cheer. This was my first time checking this store out, but they have my business going forward.

  Just lovely to deal with. Clearly experienced staff are comfortable to deal with and do quality work. Dealing with them felt old school in the best way. Handshake, hand written quote, nice chat, work is done cleanly and with detail, pay fair rate and everybody is happy. Something get's lost in the digital age and R.E. MacDonald has managed to keep it. If you are getting a BBQ of fireplace done these are your people.

  We have dealt with Ralph and his team for years as a serious wood stove full service place near the city. We now live in the country where there are serious wood stove guys but really go back to RE MacDonald because of their incredible service, knowledge and deals on wood stoves, gas appliances, retro/cool heritage appliances and BBQs. They have stone contractors, chimney installers and gas fitters..they do it all and back everything up. This is the way a business should be run for consumer's sake.

  Bought a new gas fireplace insert from RE MacDonald this last fall - had a great experience. Very helpful staff - John actually visited our home after hours beforehand to double check that everything would work out. Install was super clean and happened quicker than expected. Highly recommended!

  Stoves and Stones have a great selection of fireplaces and BBQ's. I was also impressed with their level of understanding when it came to my home's specific requirements. I would definitely recommend R.E. MacDonald Stoves and Stones to friends and family. Keep it up guys!
