An OK RV option for families. Kids like the playground and waterslide. The cement pond for swimming isn't fantastic even though the staff seem to maintain it as best they can. If you have dirt bikes or ATVs they have what seemed to be a popular trail out back behind the sites.
We were having one last get away for the year and decided to camp at Qualicum Bay Resort. We stayed in one of the small Camper Cabins and it was really quite perfect for someone that doesn't camp a lot. You get a little cabin with very rustic bed (bring your own bedding), a small fridge, microwave, hot plate and a 2 person table in case of rain. There are very clean, flush washrooms close by and private pay showers (2 loonies gave a long, hot shower). Over all this is a fantastic place to stay. I would recommend bringing your own firewood if you have it. Wood is $10 per load and they aren't very big.
Been coming here for 5 years with family.
Great place safe no worries about theft and allowing children to roam by themselves.
Large pool, lake for kids to swim and play in.
Small water slide open every afternoon.
Staff are helpful and always polite. This year we rented a small cabin instead of dragging a trailer up.
This was fine just the basics my perfect but good enough.
Ice cream store in front fun to go up In a group for a treat after dinner.
We will be back next year.
Awesome place for kids. The cabins are perfect for the price. Lots to do at this place. Clean bathrooms, the Ocean is steps away great staff. Well be booking again.
We have gone here for 2 summers now, about a week for each stay. Most of the campsites are pretty small, and some are not very private, but others are fantastic.
The site we stayed in this year backed onto their pool/man-made lake with a big hedge between us and the next site. We had friends staying to the other side of us, also on the lake - could not have asked for a better site - it was fantastic.
Sites have full hookups, so that is convenient. Waterslide was super fun for the kids. A great place to stay, and plan on booking again for next year!
If the sites were a little larger, and perhaps if they didn't have a $2 daily fee for dogs, I would possibly give 5 stars. I have to say, not sure why the dog fee is required especially for those of us with small elderly dogs that only sleep all day. As long as pet owners abide by the pet rules (barking, leash, etc) I can't see why this fee would be needed.
Nicely laid out with friendly staff and great amenities. Swimming pool, water slide, ponies. Right across from the ocean.
Great family campground. Good sized playground with beach volleyball, horseshoes, trampoline, and a zipline.
Man made lake is great to cool off in and there is a waterslide too.
Movie nights every second night.
Lots of options for campingRV sites, tenting sites, and camping cabins.
Well maintained, clean campground and site. Very kid friendly. Quiet time at 10pm, so more geared for family and seniors, not reccomended for the full out partying crowd.
Waterslides open 1pm to 4pm, 😆pool 9am to dusk, pony rides are 10$ per, firewood is 6.00/load delivered.showers are 1$ for 7minslots of facility If youre not looking to "rough it" while camping this is a great destination.
We arrived it was clean and well kept for an inexpensive motel. The staff was friendly to a point, Later in the afternoon my wife went in for a shower slipped in the tub due to non non stick stickers on the floor and fell against the shower curtain down out of the tub crashed into the toilet and took the toilet off its hinges hurt her back really bad and all we got out of the response from the staff is I hope you didn't break too much in the toilet because we would have to pay for the repairs other than that it was an OK place I wouldn't recommend breaking anything or having an accident in their building.
Good location right across from the beach. Didn't want to swim in the pool, it looked a bit gross. The park was fun. Good accommodations for a low price.
