The Tuesday night server Jo overserves people, is rude, lazy, belligerent and could do with losing about 120lbs. Then get a personality transplant. People should not have to look at someone that ugly.

We didn't feel well but wenn didn't feel unwell. It is an old Hostel and you can see that but you can arrange with it.

Attended a meeting in one of the conference rooms. I've stayed here before and it's lovely. Great rooms and great food in the restaurant.

You get what you pay for: a hostel in the downtown area of Nanaimo for that price is obviously no luxurious room. But all of the staff is super friendly and fun, especially if you want to talk to them at the pub. Minus one star for the cable that was unisolated in our room

Everything was fantastic, from the comfortable rooms, to the knowledgeable staff, that helped us plan our one day in Nanaimo, and even the breakfast that got us ready to go to the ferry.

*Alert* - The Cambie is absolutely not for young people!!! Been there twice with my girlfriend, of which the first time she was sexually assaulted in the back patio, and the second of which a man sitting at the bar offered her money for sex. Super sketchy, super greasy, anybody under 50 AVOID!!!

I highly suggest staying away from this hostel, don't let the $5 difference lead you away from the other two clean hostels in nanaimo. Bed bugs were rampant which ended up in our bags and in turn made it in to our home. It's just dirty plain and simple. Do yourself a favour and stay at the painted turtle for the extra 5 bucks and save a headache.

Classic dive bar! Lots of fun . Cheap drinks . Great service. And they play locals bands! Meta is a seemingly dying breed yet cambie still puts on shows for us metal heads. Good times had by all at the cambie.
