We rushed our 14.5 year old lab mix into Ashley's clinic when our dog was having sudden difficulty breathing and walking. Ashley saw our girl immeadiately and didn't miss a beat of what was going on despite our dog's long and complicated medical history. We were travelling with our dog on one last trip, and Ashley made a very difficult decision and circumstance much easier on us. She put us and Harley at ease and was incredibly knowledgeable. We knew we were in amazing hands and will be forever grateful for her compassion and care!

I am so happy to find out where Ashley is now. She happened to be the emergency vet on call at her previous office when Pandas ongoing issues became unbearable for her. What a blessing. Ashleys suggestion saved Pandas life. I will be making the trip down to see her from Courtenay with all my pets and it will be well worth it.

Professional, compassionate care beyond words. Dr. Ashley and her staff are amazing. They got us right in and took care of our Cosmo, who has recovered within a couple days thanks to a proper diagnosis and medication. Thank you!

The level of care for animals is amazing! We are new to the area but, after one visit, are certain we have found the ideal vet for our 3 1/2 yr old lab. Office staff were friendly and professional, working with a smile, and Dr.Bernauer offered honest and thorough advice for our pet's care advice that resulted in no extra charges or fees. This honest approach to animal care was the deal maker .. thanks to Ashley and staff!

I just moved from the lower mainland. My 8 year old puppy has been dealing with very extreme ear problems. I have spent thousands over the past years. To no avail. He has suffered since he was little, with bleeding and pain. Went to see dr. Ashly, end of August within a Month his ears are clear, and still are. Excellent care..dedicated to help. Don't really want to reccemend her as I want to keep her all to myself

Dr. Ashley and her clinic and staff are by far the best we have ever been too! Dr. Ashley has a calm and caring way about her and it radiates so that everyone, most of all, your pets can feel it, and relax and embrace the care they receive. Our 3 year old poodle was loosing weight, and not responding as herself. 3 other clinics missed the diagnosis, stating 'fussy', 'allergy', or some other generic non-reason. Finally we went to Qualicum Animal Hospital and immediately felt 'in good hands'. Ashley said, lets run the test for Addisons, she presents with the symptoms. Sure enough, Addisons was diagnosed. Dr. Ashley gave the prescription, and our dog was feeling so much better right away. Now our poodle has gained back her weight and is her old playful self again. Both our dogs love Dr. Ashley. One wouldn't be alive now if it wasn't for Dr. Ashley! Thank you to her and her clinic.

This is the best vet we have seen, ever!!!! Our nervous rescue dog Buddy just loves Ashley, and the others. We used to have to have our dog "put under" just to have his nails trimmed. Now, the calm and confident, not to mention, patient staff have made this unnecessary. Thank YOU!! We have found this Veterinary clinic to be both caring and knowledgable. We always feel that Ashley and her staff do what is best for our dog, and not her own bottom line. Very refreshing.
