I have been shopping here since I moved into the neighbourhood nearly five years ago. I appreciate the kind and helpful staff, the great selection of high-quality products for my cat and most of all the home delivery that makes picking up a big bag of dry kibble much much easier for a city gal with no car.

Pet Mama has an amazing loyalty program where you actually earn $ easily from your accumulated purchases and every 12th bag of dry dog food you get is free, which is also a nice way to save. They really honor there same day deliveries and go above and beyond ordering stock if something is low and you need it. They also take your pets picture if you bring them in and jt goes on their wall, they add your name and dogs name so they greet you right at the door, and they have a water bowl and treats for every visit. I'd say the product selection as well for this small of a store is amazing. This is my go to spot for all my pet needs (except treats, wish they had more variety there).

We had a horrible experience with my puppy at this store. I bought a harness for my 4 months old puppy because her existing harness was too tight for her. The sales associate recommended a harness which costs 55 cad and shared that the harness is very durable. The harness lasted only for 1 day, and the store did not accept to exchange or refund the product next day indicating that the puppy chewed the product. The manager of the store is very unprofessional and she was not honest about the durability of the product. I will never purchase anything from this store again, and I am very disappointed with the lack of integrity and professionalism. I feel that my money was stolen by the owner of this store without providing any goods or services as I wouldn’t expect to pay 55 CAD for a harness which lasts only 1 day.

Below response is a good indication of the lack of integrity of the store manager, as it does not admit the fact that the "durable" harness which they recommended lasted only for 1 day. They are not taking the accountability of the products they recommend and sell.

The staff give treats while they are selling products and asking from customers to leave the store when exchanging/refunding items. The male sales representative literally asked me to leave the store when I tried to exchange the product. I have never been asked to leave a store before, and it is very rude for a man to treat like this to a woman.

Extremely rude male staff, poor quality products, dishonest and unprofessional store manager.

I love having a locally owned pet store just down the street from my house. I have been coming to Pet Mama for years after adopting a cat. The staff are always very kind and helpful. They offer free same day or next day delivery over $40 dollars, which is amazing since many people often don't have cars in the city. The owner is also very kind and she often brings her two sweet dogs to the store. They also have a points system so you can earn money towards your future purchases, which is rare for a small business. I would definitely recommend Pet Mama to anyone in the area.

Every time we come to Pet Mama we're welcomed with open arms. Seriously, this place is a gem. Somehow every staff member has remembered our dog's name and diet, and are always there to help you and make recommendations - not to mention the patience they have for how wild our pup can get when he walks in! This is a great little spot where you'll find great basics and they're constantly having sales. If you and your pet are new to the area, this is a great place to getting your footing.

Huge selection of food, toys and pet supplies. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. When I got my new cat, they answered the thousands of questions I had about the differences between litters, foods etc. I felt they genuinely helpful and never felt like they were trying to push a sale.

They have free deliver on purchases over $40 and have a loyalty card (based on % of purchase) and deals for buying bags of pet food (I think buy 10 get one free).

Good selection but I don't feel welcomed by the staff. Usually ppl in the pet industry are a lot more friendly and helpful. I'm surprised so many ppl say the staff are nice. I guess I did something to make them not like me?? If I knew of another place to get the brand of pet food I buy I would go there instead.

Pet mamas selection of raw food is unbeatable. So many different types of meats for both dogs and cats. Even my ferrets are on big country raw. They all love it!!. It's great to have a pet store care so much about the actual health of our animals not just selling the generic kibble brands you can find anywhere. I shop here for anything from my German shepherds meat to my chinchillas pellets and everything in between. The only pet store I buy from!! The free delivery is also a great feature for those heavy trips home.

their staff were very understanding when we just explained we wouldn't buy our rabbit supplies from them anymore after learning they sell raw rabbit meat there.

indeed our bunnies' hay and pellets arrived on our doorstep in a Big Country Raw box, the offending brand.

the rabbit slaughterhouse in Arthur must be busy these days with all the hyper-sensitive Forest Hill poochies and their Special Needs. the horse trailers pull in apace, stacked with yellow plastic chicken crates, crates stuffed with scared white rabbits.

this review is a tad unfair in that Pet Mama is no different from Mother Nature herself, who both cares for & kills rabbits. but would you buy your cat food from a place that was selling cats as food? your cats wanna know.

We have been visiting Pet Mama since they opened and it's my favourite pet shop in the city. The owner and staffer are super friendly and knowledgeable, helping me figure out which food to switch to for my doggy's sensitive stomach, giving training advice, etc. Even though we've moved out of walking distance to the store, they offer delivery for orders, so we continue to get dog food from them.

Not just my favourite pet store, but literally my favourite business in all of Canada. They constantly go out of their way to be helpful, kind, welcoming, and they give us all kinds of extra, free treats for our three cats. After years of going here, I'm still shocked at their generosity and friendliness! GO HERE!

Best place to buy pet food and supplies in the area. Lots of great healthy options and they give great advice if you aren't sure what to get! Also they include free delivery if you have bought big items (over a certain price point) and have a points card so that you can get about $10 off every few months if you are a regular shopper. They even put a pic. Of our cat and all their furry customers on the wall!!
