Nelson & Christina's wedding day sneak peek is on the blog!! These two were married at Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant last weekend in one of the sweetest ceremonies I have ever seen.
We met this sweet couple 18 months ago at the Boutique Wedding Market and knew it would be an amazing connection when they wanted to book us before they had even set the date or found a venue. Its been an amazing journey watching them as they planned their special day, juggled a long distance out-of-province relationship, and still managed to keep the soft connection that makes them perfect for each other.
Nelson & Christina, thank you for letting us be part of this process with you!! Enjoy your honeymoon in Napa Valley and finally starting your married life together!!

This image from the Hawaiian themed bridal shower that we photographed for Miss Erin last spring is on Martha Stewart Weddings today! Last week the senior editor reached out to us to request the use of our photograph in an article she was putting together on Tropical Wedding Ideas. Of course, we said yes and the article went live today!

And as if that wasn't enough, as I was clicking through the article today I saw that the first image featured was taken by Jose Villa! (If you've never heard of him, let me just say that he is one of the groundbreaking pioneers of modern fine art wedding photography. His work is stunning and I am in utter shock to be featured in the same article as him.) This is shaping up to be one of our best business accomplishment weeks to date! After months of rescheduling and postponing their engagement session, Jessica & Shawn picked the perfect day for their photos! The sun was shining brightly (bright enough that we had to dodge sun patches even down by the river!) but by early evening the weather was just the perfect temperate for some cozy moments in front of the camera. Not only was June a special month for these two, the day of our session they were also getting ready to celebrate the 1st birthday of their twins!
These two know how to laugh and most of all how to forget the rest of the world is around when they get lost in each other. It's magical!
Jessica & Shawn, we thoroughly enjoyed laughing with you and celebrating your love! We can't wait for your wedding at Spruce Meadows this summer!!!

I cannot tell you how much I love this guy! He makes me better. He inspires me to dream bigger. To believe more. And to create a life that is better than I could ever imagine. Plus we're just super cute together (right??? I'm not alone in thinking this am I? ) _ Getting our photos done last month was one of the BEST possible investments we could have made. It was primarily motivated by needing some on brand photos for our wedding photography brand, but I love these photos for me. For having a chance to celebrate our relationship and who we are together. These photos mean the world to me. Thank you again @genevievereneephoto! Lisa Parrish from Parrish House Photos did couple's portraits of my fiance and I. They made the experience so much fun! We had the pleasure of having both Lisa and her husband Tim at our photoshoot and their sweet and extremely friendly personalities along with their love for what they do made the session that much more of a breeze for us. With lots of laughs and giggles in between, the final set of pics that were shared with us were absolutely beautiful. Lisa is wonderful at capturing natural and candid moments as well as making poses suit the personalities of each couple she photographs. I highly recommend using Parrish House Photos for any special occasion. We were so happy with our photos that we are getting Parrish House to do our wedding as well! :)

Lisa Parrish recently captured a styled bridal shower I was a part of. She not only captured the details and decor ever so perfectly, but also the atmosphere of the shower. She went over and above, ensuring the set up was ideal for photos and the bride was seated in the best light! Her attention to detail shows in her work! I would highly recommend Parrish House Photos to anyone looking for timeless photographs!

I did a portrait session with Lisa on a beach in Nanaimo BC. We had a lot of fun and I was amazed at how the photos turned out. Her photography is breathtaking and she makes a normal picture look like fine art. She was professional, fun, happy and sweet. Definitely would recommend her photography services to anyone for weddings or portraits or anything! I love her style :)

Being a photographer myself choosing the perfect photographer who my fiancé and I would connect with and who I knew would be taking all those little shots that would tell the story of our fairy tail through the images she they took was more important to me than anything!
Lisa did just that and more, she not only has an eye for the perfect shot, but her calm demeanour really allows the couple to engage with one another while she captures those intimate and spontaneous moments together that tell their story! Every time we look through our images together from the day all those emotions come flooding back! Lisa told OUR STORY perfectly through your photos! Years later we are still getting compliments each and every time someone new comes into our home and sees them!
Thank you again Lisa, and I look forward to some family shoots with you in the future!
