THEY LET MY DOG DIE ALONE!!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO THIS HELL HOLE!!!!!!!! This place is money hungry and only care about making money off of pet owners! I was told to bring my dog there because she needed X-rays and blood work done. We were told she had to spend the night there and it costed us $1,500 and then they asked if we wanted to add CPR ($400) to the bill should anything happen before even looking at my dog!!!

After we left, we called them constantly just to get an update on our dog. They kept saying the DR is busy or the shifts were switching or there was always a reason. I called multiple times and they just kept telling me the Dr will call back. I NEVER GOT A CALL!!!! I called again early morning and was told the same thing every time and never got a call back!

The only time they called us was when my dog was already dead!!!!!! They waited 20 minutes before calling us. My dog died alone and scared in a stupid cage!!!!

When I got there to see my lifeless dog. We had to wait again and it wasn't even busy. This is suppose to be their job. They should have known if a dog is dying or not and should have informed the family right away so she could die in our arms.

This place doesn't care about your pets they only care about what's in your wallet!!!!

When they brought my lifeless dog to me her eyes were wide opened!!!! They could have at least closed her eyes when she passed away but then how can they when they left my dog there to die all alone!!! My dog did not have a voice so I am her voice now that she is gone.

I wish I had read to review of this place before bringing my dog there to this HELL!!! I'm so sorry my dog had to die around selfish people
that only want money. I wish I went back to get my dog that night so she could be around all her family that LOVED her!!!!

If you love your pet don't bring them to this HELL HOLE!!!

***RIP our little Angel!! We know you are in heaven now and we are so sorry we couldn't be there for your last breath.***

The comfort of knowing that they're there 24 hours is awesome. They're a little pricey, but for emergencies they're worth it. The staff and doctors are really good!! Highly recommend them.

My cat suffers with mega-colon and we took her to North Town to have then help her pass her feces. They gave us a reasonable quote, kept her overnight and completely unplugged her. I was able to pick her up the next morning and we were so happy to have her come home with us. I had been losing hope that she could be helped, and they saved her life! Thank you North Town!

I went to have a cut on my dog's paw stitched. They put a total of 3 stitches in, 2 out of the 3 came out in 3 days. They told us to come back so they could look at it again. They did not bandage the area at all the first time, and when we returned 3 days later, the vet came out and told us it is healing fine and that putting in additional stitches was not recommended. He then further told us he would bandage the area for us. After he walked away to do that, the receptionist then told us it would cost $53 to put a bandage on after the fact they had already put it on. Call me crazy but you don't have work done to your car without knowing the estimate first correct? Well after speaking with the business manager there who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She specified that they do not need to inform their patients of any fees under $200. Furthermore, I said I could apply a $2 bandage myself, but she went on how I need to be a 7 year experienced vet in order to make sure the bandage is not too tight. Yet, their own vet working there is the one who told us in 3 days that we could take it off and apply one ourselves? He also admitted to forgetting to inform us that there was a cost attributed to putting on a bandage. So that's all mistakes from them, yet we're the one's who are suppose to pay for it because of mistakes within their department and workers? Furthermore, I said I didn't want the bandage, so they then took the time to take off the $2 bandage after it was already on the dog and told me I should find a new hospital to bring my dog, simply because I refused their "recommendation" of putting on a bandage. This operation cost me over $600 and they are concerned about losing out on a $2 bandage after it was already applied and one wasn't put on the first time. I want you to take a minute and really think about what kind of customer service your getting. Even after they were in the wrong, they banned us from coming back. I'm glad to take my business elsewhere, your not the only vet in town. Not recommended!

Sadly I have only had to visit here with my dogs due to emergency reasons but I will officially make North Town my primary vet when I get another dog. The compassion of all the staff, specifically Allison and the tender but very thorough Drs helped me make one of the hardest decisions of my life. From seeing my pup to running diagnostics to coming up with an action plan, just outstanding! Bless you guys for being so amazing in all facets of what you do!!

Our puppy Bear (10 months old) was admitted almost 3 weeks ago for ingesting something. (We never found out what it was). He was given medical attention at the time but we were told a dog this sick needs surgery. They took an x ray at 3am and didnt operate on Bear until 12pm the following day almost 9 hours later. Bear was not reassessed and no further x rays were taken to confirm if the object had passed on its own. Not being vets ourselves had questioned multiple times if we could wait for the object to pass and were told it was severely dangerous to wait and that surgery is recommended, so obviously we would have done anything to save him. After surgery we were told they found nothing and that the object had passed. We have questioned multiple times why Bear was not reassessed and why no further x rays were taken before surgery almost 9 hours later (knowing that the object could potentially pass on is own). We have not been given a specific answer and are requesting our money back from the surgery, medications and medical care from the surgery that would have never had to pay for if he was re exmained before opening our poor dog up for no reason. In addition they wanted to keep him there because he wasnt eating but the medication they were giving him suppressed his appetite. We demanded to bring him home on the third day and within an hr he was drinking and ate some toast. We are now in financial strain, were put through an emotional roller coaster and our dog took a while to trust us again. We were also told that the diagnosing doctor and the surgeon felt that he didn't need surgery but we weren't consulted with the conversation and they went ahead with it anyway. We are being completely ignored and have been trying to reach Dr Khan for almost 2 weeks with no phone call in return. We are completely disgusted with the customer service from this clinic and will never take any of our dogs there again or recommend this clinic to anyone.

I had a terrible experience with this veterinary hospital. A week ago on Friday morning, my cat was really sick, I bought him to this veterinary hospital, a male veterinarian took him to the back of inside for the examine, after half hour, he came to me and told me that my cat was fine. I asked him did he see my cat can't see and feel anything, he told me he doesn't know, and he went back to check him again, after 10 minutes later, he came back still told me my cat is ok, and his eyes is fine too. I asked him can we do some test, and we left hospital after my cat had the blood test.
Without any medication, My cat get worse after we back to home, then I took him back to the hospital again on Saturday morning and this time was a female veterinarian to checked my cat, and she told me the blood test result was very good, but my cat has high blood pressure, it's the reason to cost his eyes can't see anything, she told me don't worry, she will give him some medication for him to reduce the blood pressure, and come back next day to check again.
We went back to hospital again on Sunday at 1:30 am, this time my cat couldn't stand up, and he didn't pee for over 40 hours, we wait for 4 hours, they told me they don't know the reason cost my cat ill and they have to book an appointment with specialist for my cat on Monday. Unfortunately, my cat couldn't wait anymore, he passed away as soon we left the hospital. I spent $1040.17 and no one of veterinarian told me my cat was really ill, and he will dead.
If you love your pets, don't ever bring them to this veterinary hospital, they just like to take your money, not take care your pets. You don't want heart broken like me:(

Overpriced big time!!! Push you to do unnecessary tests and when you refuse report you to OSPCA
Please avoid this place at any cost!!!
Student walk in with laptop and without any review of what happening with the cat start listing all the test that required. It was over a $1,000 even before starting the treatment and my wife ask what is the end result and he answer antibiotics and how much it cost $60. So what is the problem of not giving broad spectrum antibiotics and start treating the problem and student couldn't answer that. Then my wife ask if they can do IV he said yes but we have to pay for a day at the hospital too. Why ??? When he realized that we living a lady came and start making my wife guilty of not providing care. It looks that they don't care much and only worry about your $$$.
Latter that day my wife got a call from OSPCA.
By the way cat doing fine

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this veterinary hospital. On a Friday night it took almost 2 hours, only to wait some more in the patient waiting room. After the first hour I was the only one person waiting to the vet and it still took so long! Although they may priorities the visits, they also need to prioritize what appointments would take a quick examination, rather then having someone wait 2 hours for a 10 minute assessment. It was only until I expressed frustration that the vet suddenly became available. My suggestion is to make an appointment on the way in so you don't experience what I had this evening.

I had to take my dog here for an emergency surgery last weekend. The vet is thorough and understanding. He took the time to explain my options, my rights and the procedure. After the surgery was completed and our little guy was back home they even called to follow up with us. I would definitely recommend this location.

Northtown is the worst . They gave my dog the wrong medication and misdiagnosed him. He could've been saved but by the time they figured out what the problem was Oreo was already at deaths door. We had to take him to Toronto specialist hospital. They try to reverse the damage at Northtown had done, but it was to late. If you want your Pet to live don't take him to North town. Most of the veterinarians there are nothing but students just out of school

Unless your animal is in need of urgent attention avoid this vet at all costs. They're overpriced and will try and get as much money out of you as possible. I can't see how there would be any 5 star reviews on here unless it is from an employee who works there or someone who has never been to a real vet. Avoid unless absolutely urgent and have 4x the money it would cost for anything needed at a normal vet.

A great experience! The doctors are very friendly and each of them made my pup very comfortable. Standard consultation fees, and each pathological tests were performed after asking me and confirming the costs. The management is very supportive and always eager to provide best service to the customers. As with any business where customer care is paramount, patients may experience some glitches, but a word with management ensures that all are set right!

I would happily recommend NTVH to my associates!

The team here are awesome! We run a French Bull dog breeding program and require a highly skilled team to help bring our cute puppies into the world by c-section. North town has always been there for us no matter the time or day. Our dogs have been seen by different doctors through the years and all have done incredible with their medicine and surgery. From the Receptionist who answers the phone and always finds the time have us seen quickly, the Tech who ensures our girls are safe during surgery and the Assistant that helps wake up our puppies after surgery. The entire team are very skilled and so accommodating!
We are so grateful for their skill and support and couldn't be happier with our experience at this clinic.
