Absolutely the WORST “craftsmanship” available in Canada….
Queen bedroom set returned for a full remake…. The second one just arrived now… The stain deficiencies, crooked handles on the dresser and handles that could not be tightened… Absolutely the worst !
You are giving Made in CANADA 🇨🇦 a very bad name!

I absolutely loved the design. We purchased the entire King suite. Bed frame with head/foot board, tall dresser, 2 night stands and a chest dresser with mirror. We were told it would be a bit of a wait - we were willing to wait. When the product finally started to arrive - it came incomplete. Several pieces were sent back due to damage or poor quality control (stain missing, dents or cracks). I finally received the last dresser today and it looks like I am going to have to stain the sides myself. The handles on the dresser drawers will not tighten all the way and the drawers do not open / close without some force. It's very obvious that no one tested the drawers to see if the glides were working properly or not. I expected so much better for the price. The furniture store has done everything they can to make us happy - but overall I'm really disappointed. I would NOT recommend this product.

I bought a dresser from them. Smells like fresh pine in the house. Fairly sturdy for the price. Mines in great working order. But from the comments i’m just glad I didn’t have any issues or bought a bed frame. This is just an emergency buy for me. Used furniture stores had no dressers. Having a baby boy. Boy needs a dresser. My old one works great but does not look or feel as nice as the one I got from mako. Though I never had a brand new dresser before. So I’m easier to satisfy in this category.

Purchased a king sized frame, 4/10 slats are SOO twisted it won't rest in frame! The knarly twist in slats shortened overall length. The pre-drilled holes to attach the center piece are bigger than the screws provided.
Nice looking in store, but a horrible experience trying to assemble @ home
Bottom line: shop elsewhere !!

Purchased a bed frame from local retailer and waited 9 weeks for a product that shouldn't have left the manufacturer. Retailer ordered a replacement piece that took 12 weeks and was dented/gouged. Called to ask for some stain to fix and they don't do that. Thank you come again!

As other reviewers have said, the reviews with five stars are probably fake. I have just battle for a day with Konto and ended up returning my MAKO bedroom set. out of 3 pieces all 3 were damaged in shipping because of poor packaging. The staining was poor and some inside corners had spots with no stain. there were two finger prints in the stain. the bed supports on the side boards were attached with NAILS! I have never seen nails in furniture. The "Solid Wood" in the head board and foot board was plywood finished one side. The only thing that seemed to be good quality were the dove tail drawers which is what the sales people really focused on. I am so disappointed with "Canadian Made" I will buy quality no matter where if comes from I won't pay high prices for crap just because it is "Canadian Made" Look really closely before purchasing MAKO!

Terrible customer service. I purchased a Buffet and Hutch. The Hutch is not attached to the Buffet and is wobbly. I was told to mount the hutch on the wall which seems idiotic. When I requested a second shelf for the Hutch, I was told by Mako Management, its going to cost me, although the images I received prior to ordering showed 2 shelves.
The Buffet and Hutch overall is very nice and I would give it a 4 star, for customer service 1 star. I have been a loyal customer, but it is apparent that's not something they care about. I will not make any other purchase from Mako.
