Whether at the spa, restaurant or a full staythe soul filling feeling that the beach and services give are heavenly. A day at the Kingfisher is always a perfect day! Been coming for 16 years and it just gets better!

We booked a midweek sleep, savour and spa, fall winter package. Our visit to the hydropath was great, my partner and I came out super relaxed and our skin has never felt so soft. Dinner was outrageously expensive so we ordered a few items off the appetizer menu. Totally recommend the curried mussels. Apparently there is a happy hour, yet we found the cocktails to be fairly priced as far as designer cocktails go. The wait staff was excellent. Our sever Ferrell was exceptionally good. We also ran into the kitchen staff post restaurant experience. They were exceptionally charismatic and accommodating. The rooms are quaint, yet lack character and the balconies lack privacy. Basic cable package, no satellite music.

A wonderful ocean-view getaway on Vancouver Island. Lovely ocean view rooms and great spa services. Very oriented towards relaxation. Be aware that their pool hours for children are very limited, due to the focus on a calm spa-like experience for adults. There are wonderful views of the calm ocean. Do not expect a sandy beach, but there is a rocky beach with lots of opportunities for kids to explore. They are known for their hydropath experience. Highly recommended! It is a guided experience through whirlpools, waterfalls and other water features. An employee checks in on you at points to direct you to the next spot. Some other reviews have mentioned that they felt rushed by this, but it is actually quite enjoyable. You don't need to make any decisions about when you're done in a pool, you just relax, enjoy yourself and someone will come and tell you when it's time to move on.

From the friendly and welcoming staff when we checked in to our departure, our stay was perfect. We were fortunate to stay in their romance suite and the views are stunning!!
The new restaurant has to be experienced, and please let Julie (their BRILLIANT mixologist) make you a lavender infused margarita. It might be the best drink I have ever had.
The owner was in the restaurant and highly recommended I let her know what I like and let her create something. Excellent advice!
An exceptional stay and highly recommend you stay here.

Checked out the new Lounge. Quite nice, great views from the new windows. Reasonable drink prices. Large garage doors will open in the nice weather to patio outside.
A couple of TVs to watch the game. I did not try the food.

I was blessed from my best friend Kim, that works as a night auditor at this location for a night stay along with 2 other girl friends, Thursday April 13th. What a beautiful Resort all though I personally did not use the pool or hot tub but 2 others did, I did use the gym for a short time. What beauty and everything from landscape to decor to rooms are absolutely fantastic! In the morning went for breakfast in the fine dining section even though I did not eat I had the best Cappuccino I have tasted in years. The staff was the best I have seen in many years as well. I observed while sitting that a server took the time to undress a table and straightened the table cloth as she felt it was uneven and reset the place settings. I was totally impressed. I will surely recommend King Fisher to everyone. Thank you so much for the beautiful stay.

My girlfriend and I decided to get away from the stress of the city and enjoy some spa time at the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort and Spa. And were we in for a treat! Since my last visit a year ago, there are now 2 new gorgeous restaurants in place of what was there, and the transformation is unbelievable. We felt that we were transported to a chic French wine bistro. AQUA Bistro & Wine Bar has a cool lounge feel where you just want to hang out or catch the hockey game on the big screenwe caught a playoff game sitting on the couch by the fireplace. Local beers on tap, variety of wines and we were hooked on their signature martini, Lavender Rose Interesting small bites from parmesan truffle popcorn to the best steak tartare you've ever hadIt rivals Le Crocodile No kidding! And it doesn't stop therefor brunch and fine dining we tried Ocean7 adjacent to AQUA. We got to sit in a great high back booth like the ones you find in NYC, except that we got to enjoy oceanfront view at the same time. The food was world classI tried the herb crusted lamb sirloin which was melt in your mouth served with spinach gnocchi that we were told was made in-house. An unbelievable blend of flavors beautifully presented. I tend to be one that looks at the dessert menu first making sure I leave room if desiredand I'm glad I left room for the molten chocolate lava cake which perfectly flowed paired with lavender ice cream. I couldn't believe that the Kingfisher got betterbut it didnot only did it exceed my expectations, it now deserves world class recognition. As well, I did notice that my room which was right on the water had been newly upgraded with better choice of interior coloursa more modern look and feel that ties in better to the seaside theme. When you book, make sure to ask for the rooms on the water, it is worth it! I must say that the enhancements to the property were a job well donekudos to the design team. A must visit destination!!!

Fantastic view of the ocean. Definitely want to be present when skies are clear for beautiful sunrise. Staff is very friendly. Easy access to heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Can enjoy their spa, which is short walking distance. Room was comfortable and was equiped with flat screen TV and mini fridge.
