The Staff are amazing and SO community minded. I am the Community Relations Director at a local non profit and we recently asked if Island Outfitters would be interested in participating in a Father's Day BBQ we were putting on in honour of single fathers.

Island Outfitters completely stepped up to the plate. They created a game for our Fathers and their children to enjoy together. They had goodies for each of the three levels they created, and gave the Centre door prizes for our draw, and even provided a staff member to come out and "man" the station. He was teaching children and adults alike how to cast a fishing reel. They were amazing from start to finish, and I am so grateful!! Maybe next year though we can skip the whistles my 4-year-old is about to "misplace" his LOL!

great staff, great selection of items for your outdoor needs. much better warranty than going to cabelas. they are honest and will help you get what fits your needs. The senior staff are very knowledgable about their specialties.

Great outdoors store run by two wonderful men for many years. All local support, guide services, hunting goods, camping gear, fishing galore. Your go to store for outdoor recreation.

You have to treat the gun section different from the fishing section when it comes to customer service and experience. The shooting/hunting section seriously needs to give their staff some lessons on being helpful and friendly to customers. I have been ignored and condescended there. The main section with clothing and fishing stuff is a completely different experience. They have always been exceptionally friendly and helpful. For them I give 5 stars. For the gun section I give 3. My most recent visit was actually quite good in the gun section.
