The food is fresh and delicious. The service is always very good. I love bringing out of town guests here. Always consistent.
Came here with my girlfriends, the food is awesome. There’s always good groupon deal
This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Vancouver. I would really recommend going during their happy hour because the food is very well priced and it is very good.
Pretty good food and drinks for weekend night out.
Pretty good sushi and hot foods here. A blend of Japanese food and Japanese fusion. Cocktails were tasty. Service is quick and the 'Hapa Hour' is pretty good.
Japanese pub with great food, drinks and weekend vibe.
This is a more westernized Japanese izakaya than Guu or Kingyo. However, the ambiance is still great. I had a good time. Try their paper bag prawns. They're amazing and irresistible.
Went for Happy hour menu was decent, range from $4 to $8. Selection includes sushi, beef tataki, to tempura. Outdoor seating is pretty good for a sunny afternoon.
Very good Izakaya-style food – we definitely recommend this place. We arrived early on a sunny Saturday evening and had the chance to sit outside. (The indoors decor is not really our taste, rather cool and modern without much personality.) Staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, a real pleasure. You should try the Sashimi Salad and the Takoyaki. Or their specialties that come in a VERY hot bowl and are prepared on-site.
Great service, fun atmosphere decent food.
Fun spot to share yummy small plates with some good company who appreciates cold sake. Order the paper bag prawns! So good 🍤
Always a staple. Good drinks. Japanese fusion tapas always prepared well. Service is always friendly and efficient. I liked the seating arrangement at old Robson location better. But this location is consistent as well. We come regularly.
I have been here a few times over the past few months and I am finally getting around to writing a review. There isn't anything particularly special or different when comparing Yaletown and Robson's locations however, I am inclined to write about a great experience I've had with my server, Nina, on two separate visits.
The first time I came out, I was sat on the patio with a few friends just after happy hour to have a few drinks. Drinks turned to dinner and throughout the entire evening, Nina went out of her way to answer every little annoying question we had about the menu in a courteous and friendly manner. Even though she admitted she was newer to the location she was very thorough in ensuring we all had a great night.
More recently, I came out with a group of work friends halfway through their meals. The servers were immediately on the ball in ensure that my order was pushed through quickly to better sync up with the rest of the table. My choice of drink was poked fun at by a few staff but in that deserved way when a guy orders the girliest drink on the menu.
Keep it up, Hapa, your staff will keep me coming back!
Drinks and food are both on point here as well. I was simply just more impressed with the team.
This new location is living up to the Hapa Izakaya standard of great dining experience. Offering uniquely creative fusion Japanese food. Wide drink selection too. And now with even more exciting menu items, all tasty and high quality, it can never go wrong. Got our food really quick. Always excellent service. Waitresses are very nice, pleasing to the eyes and professional. What delighted us is that our waitress knew exactly how to split our bills the right way without us telling her anything. Amazing!!
Like all Hapa locations, this place also has a few veg/an options. Wish there could be more though. But the Kinoko stone rice bowl is my absolute favorite. All and all, superb value for the price! It's among my top choices for hangout and a good time guaranteed in this city!
