Here's a great little activity submitted by Galina Dereka. Simply say (or write) a quick rhyme leaving out the last word. The students then have to come up with the ending. It's simple, fun and gives them the chance to come up with some crazy stuff.

Teaching YOUR kids how to read just got easier! After a lot of work our "ABC Song" is finally ready to go. We are SUPER excited because our ABC Song has a special verse that teaches each of the alphabet's sounds (phonemes). We took it a step further by combining "The ABC Song with Alphabet Sounds" with our L.E.E.P. Cards. Get the LEEP cards (also free) here https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/…/LEEP-Learn-Easy-Engli…
This is a simple and fun way to introduce basic prepositions (on, in, under and by/next to) to kids of different ages.
Start by doing the gesture chant using something small like an eraser on their hand. Gradually make it more difficult (and fun) by adding more objects or plurals.
Each time build on the sentence. eg. On It's on Its on my hand. They are on my hand
Then make a tower out of objects you can find in the classroom and challenge the students to get the objects into the correct area. You could set a timer to see who can get the most, for example, in the bowl. Make sure they say the sentence each time they throw.
Here's a really easy and effective way to get all your students talking in a really fun way
