Our visit on November 25, 2017 was interesting. We were greeted quickly and promptly by front house staff but the aroma of blocked toilet lingered in the air. We were thankful to be seated immediately.
We were seated near the bar - not our first choice, but we managed. Our server was the bartender. So, naturally we waited excessively long to receive any service. 15 minutes for drinks, 30 minutes for starters, and close to 60 minutes for our main dish.
The food was "so-so" it was OK, but nothing fabulous. Both our dishes were "warm" as they were placed on the table. An unfortunate disappointment and let down after waiting so long. The new menus were attractive - we had high expectations based on the local crowds that all gathered in, sadly this was not a positive dining experience.
At least the beer was cold!
Food was good and server was nice, but the service itself was not so good. Drinks took too long and server forgot one altogether (we were a table of six). Then the food came out sporadically and the calamari had very little calamari instead there were deep fried vegetables???
Large neighborhood pub that's pretty quiet, but great to catch a game or catch up with an old friend. Great choice of brews and food. The patio is a great atmosphere with heat lamps when it's chilly. You might see a treasure cat (racoon) meandering about the trees! Very entertaining.
Really cute and cozy pub. We went downstairs to brewhaha. They had a decent beer selection but not that many on tap, only around 10 brews. They do have some games like Cards Against Humanity
I've been here a few times for events, or after events finish and we want to continue to socialize. There's almost always space for a large group to come here last minute. The food and service are both average, but the space is great for mingling with bigger groups
Fun place, good beers and tasty food. I really enjoyed coming here for lunch.
Exactly as expected, prompt and courteous service coupled with piping hot french fries, perfectly fried fish and good coleslaw. Impressive that this large of an establishment can keep standards so high.
A cozy place to eat with a great patio. It's a shame they don't share the craft beer below them upstairs. Great friendly service.
This place is another one of those places that you should never go to. Overstaffedunprofessional staff. Food was terrible. The waiter sitted us by a garbage collection place on the patiothe smell was horrendous. We had to move. Such a waste of money. Run in the opposite direction, don't go across the street either. That is similar in service and quality of food.
They have beer for sure.
I had one.
It was okay.
Originally I thought a waitperson might inquire after my interest in one, but after 45 minutes I decided to take matters into my own hands. I asked a tall fellow behind the bar if he knew where I might be able to get a beer. He said yes, and promptly brought me one.
So, if that's your sort of thing
Duke’s has been a regular pub for after sport gatherings. The staff are always welcoming and ready to handle large groups. Despite asking for separate bills for a party of 10, they have always been pleasant to deal with. The $5 baskets are perfect if you just want something small, or share a bunch of stuff.
Cozy and lovely. The staff treated us warmly. Food was good and prices reasonable. Nice place to go with friends.
Unique energetic atmosphere. Good food and in house brew. Don't expect to get brand name beers. Very friendly and helpful staff.
A nice place to have dinner with a big group of friends. The staff are very friendly, and the food is quite good! The overall environment is very nice too.
