We just adopted a dog from Dog Tales, and we had a truly wonderful experience. All of the staff are so caring and loving towards the animals. Please ignore the negative reviews and consider adopting from this rescue! They have a ton of wonderful dogs looking for their forever homes. They made the process so easy for us, and we left with our new family member feeling really informed and prepared to help him settle in. Thank you to everyone who looked after Joseph during his time there!!

One of the few rescues that cares about their dogs and is not doing this for profit. Amazing place with very deserving dogs. Went to many open houses and finally sent an application. Received a response back within a couple hours and by the week after we were able to adopt our little guy. Amazing rescue, not sure what to think about the negative comments as they were very welcoming and helpful.

I am not one to review places, and I'm not one to trash anyone, but I feel the need to share my story.
I became aware of this place after the loss of best friend last year. I've been searching for a new companion, and I wanted to rescue. In March I saw Jack, and have been wanting to adopt him since. I finally became strong enough mentally to take the next step. Sept 4th I went to the open house, asked for him specifically. Waited 1.5 hrs with my husband and children. Broke down when I met him, seeing his scars. I knew I wanted to give him a loving home. Decided to submit the adoption application. Yes it said no cats, and I do own a couple of senior cats, that I would have kept away from Jack, not put down. Had my zoom meeting, and in person meeting. Even spoke to their vet tech and handler. Showed them my Amazon cart full of supplies for Jack, whom I thought was going to be my new best friend. On our way back home, even called insurance providers, to make sure Jack was well looked after. They asked for vet references, which I gave them. Couple of days later, I was flat out informed my application was not moving forward. I asked for an explanation and was not given one, as per their policy. Now I see Jack has been put into a foster to adopt program because he's "overlooked time and time again". And here I am, willing to give him a loving home, while they complain they're at capacity and not able to help other incoming dogs. My heart breaks to think there's someone out there like me, wanting this dog, but for some reason I'm denied.

I cannot say enough great things about Danielle and the employees at Dog Tales. From start to finish - a wonderful experience. I adopted a bonded pair from the Bahamas. Thank you for bringing me my best friends. I owe you guys the world.

We had a wonderful experience at Dog Tales! As first-time adopters, we felt very supported by the staff who were patient with us, and explained everything we asked about. Special thanks to Sam and Cassandra for helping us to bond with Dougie! We're very happy to have adopted him and for the support that continues to be provided by Dog Tales. We would absolutely recommend Dog Tales if you're looking to adopt a pet!
