I have been a big fan of Cutco until recently. They have closed all there Canada repair offices. Everything is now being sent back to the USA. I returned my Chefs knife and when they sharpened it they did not smooth out the bottom part of the knife where the blade meets the handle. This caused the knife to cut unevenly. I called Cutco and they assured me they would fix this right away. So I sent my knife in for a second time only to recieve it back in the same condition. Frustrated I called Cutco a third time and once again was instructed to sent the knife back to the US to be inspected. When I said I was dissappointed that I would be without the knife for another few months the service rep laughed and said you have lots of knives, I'm sure you will be fine without this one. This is terrible customer service. I have bought these knives as gifts and own the complete set. I would never wish this hassle on anyone. So much for customer service and customer loyalty. Careful deciding to buy these knives, its expensive and time consuming to get repairs and sharpening. This is not what I bought into when we first made this large investment. I would not buy these again.

These are great knives. Highly recommend them and love that you can get them resharpened if needed. My parents have had these knives 25 years and I am now starting to collect pieces for myself. These knives are worth the investment if you want great knives in your kitchen.
