New Parental Sponsorship Process! IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) recently announced their 2019 process for sponsoring parents and or grandparents.
The previous process worked on a "Lottery Draw" system, 10 000 applications were drawn, from the hundred thousands received, in the one month that this program opens to take new applications. So your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for sponsorship were very slim!
For the new year this has changed to "first come first serve" which, if you are prepared, gives you a much better chance of being one of the, now 20 000, applicants drawn.
If you are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with parents or grandparents abroad, you could qualify to sponsor them to come and live in Canada. After this process your parents/ grandparents will receive Canadian permanent residence which also qualifies them to use the provincial health care system.
The program opens in January 2019 and is only open for applications for one month. If you are interested in applying for this program or have any further questions about it, feel free to send me a message at info@connectedworld.ca for an assessment.
