The Tawaw Centre was the place to be this afternoon! Grade 3 students from École Henry Kelsey School joined our community to take part in a seated dance class. Saskatoon's Shannon Bray, who has been teaching dance to our Elders for the past few months, led the large and enthusiastic group. It was an amazing time and we sure hope to see the École Henry Kelsey kids soon! Saskatoon Public Schools The Eden Alternative

GREAT NEWS! Dave has been found!
Somehow, he ended up in the ceiling and then behind a wall. Staff and Elders heard Dave crying behind a panel earlier this evening. They used a screwdriver to carefully pry open the panel and out came out a very hungry but happy Dave!
He is now enjoying some well deserved TLC from Elders and staff. Thank you for all the Facebook shares and we are thrilled this story has a happy ending:)

Dave, one of our new cats in Fourth Neighbourhoods, has gone missing! He was last seen Monday morning. We are not sure if Dave is still in the building or has ventured outside. If you see him, please send us a message or let an Elder or staff know. Thank you!

We want to say thank you to our good friends at the Kinsmen Foundation for a very generous donation they recently made to the Sherbrooke Foundation.
The Kinsmen Foundation donated $80,000 that will be used to purchase ceiling track lifts for our Elders.
Please click on the video to see the positive impact ceiling track lifts have on the lives of our Elders and how they keep our staff safe and healthy!
This donation is the latest example of our special friendship with the Kinsmen Foundation. Since 1976, Kinsmen have funded six projects, including the Kinsmen Village residences and the therapeutic pool, for donations totaling more than 1.2 million dollars. Congratulations to our Elders, staff and the iGen class for raising 160 kilograms of food for the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre!
Students and Elders recently toured the Food Bank where they learned the vital role it plays in #Saskatoon and the many connections it has with other local businesses.
Every day, the Food Bank distributes 8000 pounds of food to those in need in our community. Thank you to all of you who donated to our We Scare Hunger fundraiser! Saskatoon Public Schools

Congratulations to the Saskatoon Hilltops on winning the 2018 Canadian Bowl Championship! It’s their fifth straight title!!
Our Elders has an amazing time watching the game and cheering on the Hilltops.
We want to thank Dr. Brendon Gryba from Saskatoon’s McEwen Avenue Dental Clinic for donating 10 tickets to our Elders, staff and volunteers! It was an incredibly kind gesture and we are grateful for it!

This afternoon, Elders tried their hand at an ancient form of expression called India Ink Painting. It's been used for thousands of years to create calligraphy. Alana and Chelsea in the Arts Studio helped our Elders with a variety of paintings and the results were fantastic! Well done, everyone!! The Eden Alternative

I'm so glad I've had the opportunity to work for Sherbrooke. It truly lives up to its reputation as being the best place to work! It is a great place to live with experienced staff and many facilities and opportunities for the residents. My uncle Joe is happy there and all our family is grateful for the good service.

The absolute best place to be if you need some tender, loving care. My mom was here for years and she was so well taken care of by people who actually cared about her. Great people!!
