Join us at this interactive session with case studies that will start the conversation for “Succession Planning for the Family Firm”. Lunch included!
FEA Session Facilitators: Bev Johnson, Irene Seiferling and Bob Tosh.
Has your family had the necessary conversations about succession planning for your family business? Is Dad still avoiding the big question? Are the siblings on the same page about the future of the family business? Are you on track to avoid the pitfalls and landmines?
Many family businesses do not have a satisfactory succession plan, or success plan for the business. This puts the company at risk. The employees are at risk. The clients and customers are at risk. Someone needs to take the lead and start the conversations.
Let’s practice those conversations and get your family business on track!
A family only event presented by Bev Johnson FEA, of KPMG. Teaching family businesses about sustainable growth and family harmony through art. This is a hands-on painting session utilizing lines, shapes, and colours to drive home lessons in running a family business.
The idea of the session, is for various family members to paint their responses, then compare to other members of their own family to see if they agree or have differing opinions. This leads to a great family discussion. The benefit is best when multiple family members participate.
Creative, Fun and VERY Interesting!

The scenery was wonderful in Dutch Saskatoon’s greenhouse as they hosted us for lunch and networking! They also told us their story of “intrapreneurship” and working on new business ideas together as a family.
The founding generation may have been the entrepreneur, but the next generation could be the “Intrapreneur”!
The FEX Saskatoon Luncheon will focus on how the second and third generations at Dutch Growers brought their own talent to the Family Business; how it kept the excitement going!
