Sadly I have never heard anything good about this place. We tried it many years ago at their old location and it seems (through word of mouth) that new digs doesn't mean better experiences! Good luck.

Ate here while waiting for the rain to stop. Buffet style, cheaper for seniors. Hostess pretty unfriendly. Gave us dirty looks because our raincoats were dripping water on the floor. She asked me if I was really a senior. Guess I should have taken that as a compliment but the food kinda cancelled that out.

It's pretty standard Chinese food, except served by a family that hardly speaks any English and have short tempers that makes you feel like eating in a warzone

Buffet style chinese fast food. This is not chinese food, it's westernized chinese food, it sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice etc, Ala small town. Dessert was jello, nanaimo bus and very tired watermelon. Some of the buffet items were pretty wizened and scarey looking but they made an effort to quickly replenish what was empty. Staff were kind and very polite. Hard doing this in a small town so kudos to them.

I wish I'd thought to look at the reviews before going here. The only reason this place survives is because they get one-off tourist customers who unfortunately don't know any better. No locals dine here because the food is disgusting and the service is about the worst I've ever come across. The woman who owns the place was ranting and raving at both staff and customers it was so bad, it was almost funny!

The owner is a complete nutjob, it's almost worth going for the entertainment.

We tried to order the meal for four but with chicken instead of pork. Apparently this was only possible for an additional fee of $10 - even though the difference in the price on the menu was $1.00. She (the owner) then proceeded to yell at us AND the staff both in (extremely limited) English and then Chinese.

The experience was awful, and we left without ordering. In the end, it was recommended that we go a couple blocks down the road to Tans, where the service was lovely and the food was delicious.

I pity the staff who are forced to work in such an awful environment.
