I check today and front desk went extra mile to help me and my wife. I like to thank you and the room is clean. For the price is reasonable as well, I can not complain about. Like I said thank you for everything

Their customer service goal seems to be to deliberately make their customers disappointed and upset. The reason all the reviews are bad is mostly because they don't know how to talk down a bad customer experience and turn it positive.
I reserved a one bedroom, i got charged for a one bedroom, but then when I got here the clerk said she had to charge me more because they only had two bedrooms left (which are more $$). They said they gave away my room because I didn't respond to the email soon enough. Even though I replied to the email AND talked to them on the phone again 3hrs before arrival -- I was still charged extra for the room I didn't even want.
The advertised free wifi didn't work.
Our fire alarm went off at 11:30pm for no apparent reason and the desk didn't know why and didn't want to look into it so we just waited for it to stop ringing and went back to sleep.
The rooms are okay, and you get access to ice, a microwave, and the cabin rooms have a small stove which is nice.
The bad customer service really soured the whole visit for us - I probably would recommend this hotel otherwise.

Will never stay here again. Worst experience ever. Was charged $162.41 for the night. I see it is going for $69 on Trip Advisor. Not worth $40 a night. Very tiny room- 1 foot on either side of bed only. Air conditioner kept going on and off - right above my head - woke up everytime. Tried opening the window instead but loud noise from traffic on Macleod trail and very bright lights shining in the window. No extra pillows in room and the pillows available were awful. The boxspring was sitting on the floor- mattress not comfortable. Found a comb under the sheets from a previous client- GROSS! Found empty water bottles and used cups in room from previous client. Phone did not work, but that did get replaced. Housekeeper confirmed that room was cleaned- highly questionable. Found a large shampoo bottle in the bathroom from previous client. Hair on the bathroom floor- YUCK! No coffee available at the included breakfast which consisted of making your own waffle. Parking is difficult with a truck and someone in our spot when we returned late in the evening so had to park elsewhere. There is however an enclosed entryway to each 2 rooms with easy access all the time (no locks) that would make a great free sleeping place for anyone come winter. The place should be condemned.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop a half block away to take you south and one across the street to take you north. The rubber mats that are screwed down over the carpet in the stairwells do give off a nasty odor though.

At 2 in the morning, it took more than 45 minutes to check in. Don't have someone else, god forbid, pay for your hotel for you. The receptionist and the manager won't be able to figure out how to let you stay there because your credit card number doesn't match what's on file. The toilet was not clean, random hairs were in bed with me. But for 4 hours of sleep, $250 was as they advertised Canada's BEST VALUE inn.

Was $160 for the night..that got me a hole in the corner and and evening with a rodent..and wasn't no mouse. Also very week on the cleanliness. Cause I know for certain they weren't my hairs in the bed or shower, I'm bald. Enlightened the counter staff upon check out.. "Are you sure, all our rooms were just renovated. Did you complain last night?" No I'm letting you know now. Dissatisfied with cost to "Best Value"
Room 113 if you happen to read your reviews.

Every staff member I interacted with at this location was extremely arrogant. And every guest I saw that interacted with staff also had bad experiences. They make you pay up front when you check in, which was quite ridiculous. If you're paying on debit, they charge you $600 dollars up front as a "damage deposit". The rooms are disgusting and the whole place smells the same. When we were checking out, they made us stand in the lobby for 20 minutes while they checked the room for any damage. While we were waiting to be refunded the extra money they charged us, we watched as what we assumed was the manager yell at another customer and told her to shut up. We witnessed this whole interaction and this was absolutely uncalled for. When we finally got to check out, we asked if he was the manager, as we were so disgusted by the way he dealt with the lady before us and he refused to tell us if he was or not. I've never seen such outrageous customer service in my whole life as I did at this hotel. If you're someone who chooses Canada's Best Value Inn, definitely go to the one on 16th Ave in Calgary rather than this one. I spoke with their manager to get a corporate phone number to call and complain about this experience and she was extremely helpful and explained that my experience was not out of the ordinary for the other location. Do not waste your time or money on this place. It blows my mind that these people are able to run a business the way they do. It will only be a matter of time before they get shut down.

Room smelt like stale cigarettes upon arrival, so we opened the window. The bed was very soft but comfortable. Breakfast was very underwhelming. Receptionist was very friendly and the room was clean. Perfect for a stop over in the middle of a long drive.

Checking starts at 3 pm usually. I checked in 7 hour late cos of delay on highway. She said you are late. Your 3 day reservation is cancelled . You are charged with full amount and you have to make new reservation . Whattttttt???? I am a international student in Canada. But plz tell. Is what usual thing motels do in Canada ??? And I was explaining her and she kept interupting me. I told her pls listen for a second and be respectful . She said My Job is not to listen .Whattttt. anyyyy she overcharged me. There were other person checking out & she was not giving her 400 deposit back coz she smelled smoke in his room. There is no plugin in room.just one at entrance. Blanket stings. I feel crap living here . I d k how these 2 days will pass. I will say spend $50 extra or evennn $500 if u have to but live at some better place. Btw: even her husband called her at the back when she was rude to me, but haha she came back and behaved same

Staf was extremely unfriendly and made me feel like I was being watched at every moment. My room was entered with the do not disturb sign on the door and my belongings were snooper through (nothing stolen) They charged a $400 deposit and tried everything they could to keep it, going through the room with a fine tip comb. They refused to provide extra towels and then charged me for leaving dirty towels. Extremely unprofessional. I will NEVER stay here again.

Customer service: check in clerk was neither friendly nor unfriendly. but check in was quick and easy. pretty sure all the whiners on here complaining about the desk clerk are just racists. $200 damage deposit which is weird since i've had nicer hotels still only take $100.
Room: hallways and stairwells smell FUNKY AS HELL, but the room was fine after we aired it out for a few hours! Room was clean, shower was hot only after a few minute wait.
Breakfast: 6:30-8:30am, appreciate the earlier hours. Have almond milk!!! Waffles, juice, toast coffee was like warm and pretty horrible but expected for a hotel. Breakfast was all styrofoam bowls and platesi would appreciate paper instead ♻️
Price: Very good experience for a $45 night, but would not pay more than that!
4/5 stars for great price and nondairy milk option ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
    would visit again!!!

The check in desk clerk didn't speak English (she spoke Indian/hindu).
The room was plain and dirty. The bed was very uncomfortable and had many hairs left on the sheets like they didn't wash the bedding between guests. The fridge was shut off so it had to cool down before it was any use ( no it was not cold by morning our drinks were warm). Lowest quality we have ever stayed in and we normally stay at super 8 or motel 6.
