CBC open house visit on Saturday March 17th ,2018 was simply amazing! Very friendly journalists ,broadcasters and radio hosts. The whole CBC staff are just vibrant and really approachable. I must admit that it caught me by surprise when the let us try their equipment. The open house was a great experience. Thank you CBC!!

Lost all respect for CBC news Edmonton. When Trudeau was in Fort Mac about the pipeline and it was time for questions the very first question asked was about the Facebook data breach. It had nothing to do with the actual topic on hand so this leads me to believe that CBC was told or paid to change the subject. Not cool !!!!!!! As far as I'm concerned CBC is the Canadian Fake news

Although CBC has some wonderful non political programs, the good is far outweighed by its biased Liberal Government agenda and one sided selection of interviewees. CBC is funded by taxpayers, and politics should be left out of it.

CBC is an integral part of my morning. Edmonton AM does an outstanding job of covering everything local, from reviewing gyms around the city to talking about the best places to dine.
I love that they always have someone on in the morning who talks about the Edmonton experience, it really cultivates a sense of community. The hosts are also hilarious, especially if you like a little self-deprecating humour.
I would igore the 1 star reviews, which are mostly comments from trolls, or people who have nothing constructive to say about the actual station as they likely do not listen to it.response / report this review -

I have watched CBC over the years as it evolves, and I have to say that today the CBC can best be described as the vehicular equivalency of what Mein kampft's purpose was, with the only variance being its authoritative source of propaganda.

I am not an early riser so don't listen to the morning show . I do listen to the afternoon program and enjoy the hosts , their camaraderie and repartee , and generally enjoy the topics . The host of the noon call in show has a tendency to sound exasperated and can be prickly . I have heard her sighing and sounding impatient . There was an excellent male host filling in for her some months ago and I really liked him. I don't remember his name at present .I was reading some of the negative comments and they all seem to sound the same, expounding the same thoughts ,using the same familiar and tired phrasing that I have read on political sites , in Alberta and the United States . Their vocabulary is limited as are their views and generally , the spelling is atrocious .

Love the timely and accurate traffic reports. Disappointed however, that our tax-funded broadcaster insists on only presenting a narrow-minded leftist worldview whenever possible to the exclusion of all other viewpoints.

I was a fan until a few articles were written that directly impacted me. The bias used in the articles was extraordinary. There was no journalism or investigative writing, it was a one sided propaganda filled article. I get that you’re going to report on all different topics, but at least try to remain impartial and report the truth. You should be ashamed.

I have noted some minor bias before (e.g., regarding oil/gas/climate-change issues and, specifically, text on a post concerning refugees), but for the most part, the reporting is solid and almost always unbiased. In general, CBC is one of the best news sources in Canada. I would recommend CBC Edmonton to people in the Edmonton area who are looking for credible, reliable news sources.

Love Mark Connelly, Carol Amadea(sp?), Derek, and crew on in the AM and Portia Clarke, Rod Kurtz, Don Bell and the Radio Active bunch. Mark and Portia have something special in relating to people. CBC Edmonton is on all the time. I don't enjoy the country-wide programming as much as I used to. It is disjointed and not as in depth and not as engagingly about Canadians and Canada as it once was. As It Happens and The Current are just what we need. I also enjoy Shelagh Rogers, Terry O'Reilly, the weekend early morning, Randy Bachman and always Ideas. Some shows are too scripted and too trite and too made to entertain at the expense of content. I think we need to know about the First Nations part of our communities and you are doing a good job of that, sometimes maybe too often but necessary. CBC has "kept my mind alive" for many years. Long may it continue.

I will Vote the Candidate that Promises to stop funding the CBC …..
Because what is the point of the CBC's existence in first place? Our new Sunny Prime Minister has announced publicly to the world that there is no Canadian Identity, no mainstream culture; we are a 'post-national', multicultural entity where *every* culture is equal. 'We are strong *because* of our diversity, not in spite of it' is one of our PM's favourite rhetorical lines and he repeats it at every opportunity.
So back to the foundational question: If there is *no* uniquely, mainstream Canadian culture; if there are, by Justin Trudeau's definition, *no* 'Canadian stories to tell' and therefore no need for Canadian Voices to tell them, why does the CBC exist at all? If we are a 'post-national' state, why are we paying $1.4 B/year for a National Broadcaster?
This is the *real* question the rest is noise until this is answered by our Prime Minister AND >>>>>>>>>>
What we have here as Prime Minister is only the tip of an Iceberg of an insidious political party , wretched and rotten to the very marrow of its own bones .
