I am so proud of what Between Mothers has accomplished over the Fall and Winter! We have participated in several fundraisers: The Shoebox Project, No Fixed Address, and Alanda Strong supporting one of our Moms fighting cancer. The generosity of you Women/Moms just warms my heart! We have added a wonderful new massage therapist, Marsha Adams. We are helping women with post partum mood disorders, sharing space with Emily Pollak. And always helping new moms with breastfeeding is our lactation consultant Kirsten MacAulay. We have had lots of firsts besides baby milestones which I am always so proud to witness and celebrate!! I am so lucky to have helped bring two great nephews into the world and then join Auntie in Mom and Baby yoga - love you Wolfe and Archie!! Valerie had dancers compete for the first time and did amazing - way to go Kali and Charlotte! We also had our first Daddy boogie class (so many laughs) and our babywearing boogie class stepped out of the studio and entertained the crowd at No Fixed Address, they were a hit, people still talking about it the next day!! And for the first time I have had the pleasure of helping surrogates on their journey to helping a lucky couple!! Putting it all down like that, wow, that’s really amazing!! Between Mothers will continue grow and spread its wings!

June is Pride 🌈month and I’d like to take a moment to honour one of my favourite families. About 3 years ago Laura and Laura asked if they could come to prenatal together as they wanted to continue to share in their journey of their first pregnancy, first baby. My thought was - they both have vaginas why not?! (sometimes our discussions are too TMI for a male presence) It was wonderful for me to share in this unique experience as one was pregnant the other was also preparing to lacate. Talk about support, they went on to have a wonderful natural birth and I was in awe of the way they both nursed and cared for their little man!! 2017 they were back for baby #2! This time the other Laura was carrying the baby but the first was still lactating- these Mums planned this perfectly! Again I was so excited to be a part of their journey and witness these little miracles!! This time it was a beautiful baby girl! Laura and Frankie are still in Mom and baby yoga and I still see them all personally and professionally and I love this dynamic - 2 Lauras, 2 pregnancies, 2 moms, 2 babies, 4 boobs (other moms are sometimes jealous of this) they Mom hard, my ultimate definition of Between Mothers and I am so proud to know them and thankful to be a part of their journey!! #pride #momsquared #loveislove #laurasquared #betweenmothers
