Meet our newest member at APPCT. Natasha Bachoo, Social Worker. Natasha has worked in downtown Toronto for several years providing couples counselling and sex therapy to couples and individuals alike. Such issues include erectile dysfunction, painful intercourse, gender identity, navigating through changes in sexual appetite, sexual dissatisfaction, overcoming infidelity and rebuilding trust, managing expectations and improving communication around sex. We are so excited to have her join our growing family! @nbachoo

World continence week! “Laugh with out leaking”. Bladder and bowel incontinence are NOT incurable, however, they are still not talked about and continue to be accepted as a rite of passage. Talk to a health care provider if you are suffering.

Did you know it was IBS awareness month? Did you know Pelvic Physiotherapy can help?

Pelvic Physiotherapist can help treat those with IBS by addressing and treating the consequences of a viscero-somatic reflex and the upregulation of the sympathetic nervous system. We are more than just manual therapist. We look beyond the faulty organ. We use a biopsychosocial framework. We can help!

Treating patients using a biopsychosocial framework is the most effective way to treat persistent pain. Thank you Lorimer Mosely & David Butler for all of your clinical pearls and ongoing research to help clinicians use therapeutic neuroscience education in their practice.

    Let’s talk about! Endometriosis occurs in 10% of women of childbearing age. Let’s raise more awareness so women stop suffering in silence. #persistentpain #endometriosis #dysmenorrhea #dyspaurnia #womenshealth #estrogenoverload #biopsychosocial #vulvodynia #ibs #painfulbladder #infertility #pelvicphysiotherapy #pelvicphysicaltherapy #multidisciplinary #pelvicfloor @nellyfaghani @campbell_lauren @jsnargi @advancedpelvic

    Educating patients is one of the most important things we do. Patients love understanding their own anatomy- what better way than showing them on models? #physiotherapy #pelvicfloor #pelvicfloordysfunction #urology #gastroenterology #obestetrics #gynecology #incontinence #dyspaurnia #vulvodynia #intercystialcystitis #endometriosis #mummytummy #postpartum #prepartum #prosatectomy #oab #Bph #prostatitis #ipps #ics @advancedpelvic @nellyfaghani @campbell_lauren @fziomn @jsnargi
