Not certain what the weather is like where you are, however in Ashcroft summer has arrived with hot days and very warm nights. If you brew your coffee in the normal way and then freeze it, I use ice cube trays. Then take the frozen coffee add some milk, cream or ice cream (rice dream or soy milk also work) and throw it all in a blender you will have a wonderful refreshing cold drink that will be a hit on any hot day. I also do this with decaf coffee for Alice.
Working on new blends. We have developed a bright, light, yet full bodied blend with a natural sweetness - we are calling it Mount Cornwall Gold - after the founders of Ashcroft who decided there was gold in wheat and cattle to supply the prospectors rather than living in the cold and mining. Now I need to update the inventory list on the web site.
An exciting time in the specialty coffee business. in the first four months of 2012 we have roasted and sold more coffee than all of 2011. Working on developing a new house blend for the Ashcroft Opera House for their opening later this year.
