My first experience with Bahr's was way back in 1971-72 when they were located in the town of Cooksville on Hurontario just north of Dundas. I had just bought my first horse and walked in with a couple of pictures of her. Bernie looked at the photos and then picked out the saddle, bridle etc and told me to take it all and if the saddle was not right just bring it back. It fit my mare perfectly. I did take it back about 10-12 years later and traded it in for a flat saddle and he gave me an excellent deal on the trade in. I've been going to Bahrs for at least 46 years and seldom shop elsewhere.
His merchandise caters to the beginner right up to the high-end customer and his employees are both friendly and quite knowledgeable. It's a great place to shop!response / report this review -

My favourite place to go! Right from the time I was a young (stupid) kid, it was a special adventure. That's never changed and through the years I really appreciate the great service right from the owners on down. Bernie, Carla - it's still a special adventure and my number one go-to place for anything I need. Thank you for providing terrific products, incredible service and equine related memories that have spanned a lifetime.

I have been shopping at Bahr Saddery for years now and have always appreciated the great customer service. Recently I popped in and spoke to Geoff about trading my saddle in for a new one and getting a fitting done for my tb mare. Liz came and she was absolutely amazing! Even my mare Sunny loved her � Outstanding service by both Liz and Geoff. Me and my mare are super excited for our new saddle that fits us both properly and within our budget!

The first time we went Bahr we were shopping for my niece's very first show season. To say we were clueless would be a massive understatement! The amazing staff not only helped us find everything we needed, they made amazing recommendations on how to care for all of our items so they would last. As we get ready for this years show season, we know that Bahr will definitely be our first stop :)

After calling around trying to find a gullet to fit my saddle, I phone Bahr Saddlery on Sunday. The sales representative exceeded my expectations! She found the item and processed the order over the phone and told me it would be shipped on Monday. I received my package today as they had promised! Inside I found the gullet and a special surprise,a small package with two horse treats!!! WOW!!! Bahr I was already impressed about the amazing service but the treats?!!! Well that just made a great experience EXCELLENT! Thank you!!!

Just received my Beval 7/8 inch half hole stirrup leathers. Product was what I was looking for, price was right and it was deleivered on time. By the way, Moose says thanks for the surprise, a bag containing two all natural horse treats. Nice touch. It's the little things that matter. Way to go Bahr Saddlery.

Always go above and beyond for their clients, feels more like a family than a business! A true measure of any business is the loyalty the customers feel and I try never to get supplies from anywhere else :)

Nicest staff to deal with, the Bahr family are awesome people. Whether you are purchasing a $20 body brush or a $2,000 saddle, they provide the same level of excellent customer service. Their annual summer sale is the best.
