Great experience and food. Have a relaxing beer and some tasty food and enjoy some sass from Wish Willy, it's all part of the experience. Meal and a drink was around B25 each (I think it depends what you order, but we didn't see any prices). Help yourself to a table and a drink from the esky and let him know. The menu is a blackboard - Wish Willy comes around to take your order when he's not busy in the kitchen.

Really great experience. Like having a BBQ in your friend's backyard. The food was excellent and you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. He does have beers too though it seems like a BYOB place.

Had dinner at Wish Willy's (in his yard) we sat had drinks (self serve out of the big igloo cooler) and dinner. The place got busy as the sun went down. If the music is playing he is open, just ask what he has that day. No menu, no prices. Just a guy a grill and a igloo cooler of beer. So good

Great food and atmosphere. Very laid back and although food takes awhile to come out it is worth the wait. The bbq whole fish was out of this world. Grab a beer and relax!

Delicious!!!! A must try on the island. Willy is a legend and serves up the meanest, freshest lobster with rice and vegies. No menu, he'll just serve up what he's got! Definitely get some rum punch on the side too.

A must visit! Our favorite spot on the island. Willy is a fantastic cook - went here twice and weren’t disappointed. Love the laid back atmosphere and fresh food.

Great seafood. Great prices. Good atmosphere. Go there! We spent 5 days on the island and tried serveral places. This place had the best combination of island atmosphere and great seafood dishes in our opinion.

Informal, cool, chill, honest, spontaneous.
Willy (Maurice) and his staff are nice, friendly, relaxed people.
Fresh fish, lobster, chicken, meat and other food with an excellent price - quality ratio.
Cosy eating in the garden, like having diner at a friend's home.

What an experience, and dinner here really is an experience in the best kind of way. Chicken, Pork or Fish! Choose your protein and willy takes care of the rest. My wife and I were a little skeptical, but the delivery was amazing. Food was perfect. Meat, veggies and rice were exactly how anyone would expect them. Willy is the embodyment of Caye Caulker (as is his dog who is so cute). We chatted with him for about 15min and learned all sorts of things about him and the island. Really genuine guy.

No massive signage, no menu, just a great, unique and friendly experience. This is how it went down with our group of 5:
Wish Willy (Chef): “What do you guys want to drink?”
Us: “What do you have?”
“I got beer and rum”
“What do you have to mix with the rum?”
“Umm, I don’t know, I can make something nice though. What do you guys like to eat? Seafood? Vegetarian?”
“What fish do you have? I’ve heard you do a really good coconut prawn dish?”
“Yeah it’s pretty good, do you want that? You can have anything you want. Ahhh, I got some snapper”
“”
“How bout I make you guys something nice?”
“Yeah, surprise us, something nice”
WW to his kitchen hand: “6 LOBSTER!”
Ten minutes later we had a plate of lobster, smoked snapper, coconut rice and vegetables, and a mixture of beers and rum with soda and lime. When we finished, we asked how much.
“All drinks are 5 and all plates are 20.”
For those not yet on Caye Caulker, that is cheaper than any restaurant anywhere in town. We will be back every night until we leave.response / report this review -

Flavourful simple food at cheaper prices than elsewhere in town.
Owner not very pleasant to his staff who where running around like headless chickens without a good system in place. It felt like we walked in on a domestic argument a little.
When we asked if our food for sure only had prawns as one of us is allergic to octopus and we couldn't quite tell with the light and preparation, we got an abrupt response and attitude.
Felt like we were a bit of inconvenience.
We liked the food but the service stopped us from returning the following night.response / report this review -

After reading reviews was really hard to know what to expect. We had an amazing time true a little strange upon arrival Willy looked at us asked what we wanted to drink then came back ten minutes later to ask again. The idea is to go, chill, eat great food and enjoy the island vibe. Willy was very welcoming and very nice. Great with our kids and very funny. True no price on menu but very reasonable so don't worry. The food was amazing husband had jerk chicken, daughter had shrimp skewer (pretty sure it ended up being crab) but was delicious and I had the gumbo yummy too although my least favorite of the three dishes. Go by and don't be in a hurry just enjoy!!

Great food. Casual dining. Friendly people. Other people eating there were also really friendly.
The conch was amazing. The fish, amazing. The shrimp, amazing. Coconut pie, amazing.

This place was fun. The food was great and the owner was a hoot. They cook outside on a grill and you eat outside on large picnic tables - kind of like eating in your back yard. It has a cool and relaxed vibe, the food was great and the prices can't be beat. One of my favorite places to eat on Caye Caulker. Highly recommended!

Very good food! One word about the food in Caye Caulker is Fresh. The meats and fish are cooked excellently. Very nice vibe at Wish Willy, the chef wiped up something without asking us what we 'd like but on recommendation. It turned out to be very fresh. I love the feel and atmosphere of the restaurant. Very chilled back and feels like a big family unit and you're all sitting in the backyard.

I loved how simple it was. Everything was $20 BZD. We got the lobster and boy was it tasty. Where can you get a lobster tail for $10 US? That's insanity! Fun experience and cool party vibe.
