Very tasty and cool restaurant. Only things on the menu is what they caught that day. A little highly priced but aimed at the tourist market. Worth the money as the fish is super fresh and tasty and back in the west would be double the price.

The beer is quite cheap and has pool table and darts. The guy that greats you seems to be one of the fisherman that catch all the fish. Great night out with very good seafood.

Was recommended to come here, unsure what happened as it was underwhelming. Prawns and kingfish, where good, snapper was undercooked. We did not finish our meals. 3 children 2 adults, cost 178$ for 4 meals. Not including beer or wine. They have darts and a pool table which is fun.

Amazing fresh fish displayed outside in ice boxes after being caught that day. Straight on the grill, simple but brilliant. The shrimp kebab was phenomenal, some of the best shrimp I've tasted. The service was a bit patchy given the ordering style so sometimes you need to chase staff! Highly recommend it though

Great atmosphere (big open air restaurant) and select your fish (dinner) at the door. Service was good. Slightly more expensive than average, but worth it.

Nice place with great seafood. I liked the fact you see what they will cook. It is bit more expensive than other places around however.

Seafood was great. You get to pick your seafood and the grill into in the open grill by the bar. Their lobster was very good too

We came hungry. Ordered the T-bone and vegie pasta. Waited for 80 minutes. The T-bone was ok, the pasta was fine.

This restaurant offers great, fresh seafood. Before you are seated you choose your main course which is a choice between several fresh catches of the day. The side dishes were alright and this is fairly expensive compared to places nearby.

Hit and miss. The first day we arrive to Caye Caulker, we were starving and in need of some food. We had heard about Roses on Tripadvisor so we decided to go based on the good reviews. When we arrived, we order our drinks and picked our fish, my travel partner and I shared our fish, seeing as the prices were quite high in Caye Caulker. Our drinks came on time, however our food took over an hour and a half. The Moto on this island is 'go slow' however we did not expect service this slow. At this point we were too hungry and after asking 3 times if our food was ready it arrived. The sides were cold however the fish was excellent, very nicely cooked and fresh, would of preferred not to wait so long and the price was pretty high as they charge for service. We went a second time, with a few other friends and ordered Lobster, this came out extremely quickly and it was cooked very nicely.

Was not very happy with this place. The whole setup was disorganized. You first order your main items before you enter the place. You order the item by selecting from the choices they have available at the front entrance. Once you order the item is taken to the grill. This is where it all gets messed up. You now sit down and a waitress comes over and takes your order. There is no way for the waitress to know the exact items you selected. That happened to me and it took them 1 hour to serve my food and it was incorrect. It was not hot.

We've traveled throughout Central America for the last 12 years so we know things are different but we've NEVER encountered fried shrimp like this. We went for lunch and both ordered the fried shrimp. The shrimp were overly greasy like they were fried in old grease and they had the weirdest batter on them (still not entirely sure what kind of batter). Not only that but the texture was weird. I think hubby finally hit the nail on the head when he said it was like they were boiled then fried. They were not good at all. Service was worse than what you would expect on a slow island. Hubby had to finally go to the bar and put in his own drink order. Based on the good rating on here, maybe we picked the wrong day, or maybe the wrong dish, or maybe because it was slow season but this was a one and done for us. Money well wasted.
