Excellent for snorkeling and diving. Crystal clear and calm waters with an extensive variety of marine flora, fauna and live corals to enjoy. Is a protected marine reserve in the central part of the country and located approximately 22 miles off the coast of the Placencia Peninsula. The reserve was established in 2003 and is under the authority of the government’s Fisheries Department, but is managed by the Southern Environmental Association, a community-based organization in Placencia.

Nice snorkeling! The island itself has been eroded away. Bring water shoes to protect your feet from the sharp coral.
Visited while on a one week sailing trip. The snorkeling was phenomenal.
