This is the most fun I've had learning anything.
I got my PADI open water certification here in March 2018.
Everyone at this dive center is astoundingly good natured and good humored while also being thorough and serious about their craft (diving instruction).
Yemin, one of the 3 brothers who run the school, was our diving instructor. He repeated every instruction more than once and always asked each person individually if they had any questions. He always gave ample positive feedback after completing an unterwater test and also gave constructive feedback anytime we were doing something wrong.
The cost for the course was appropriate given all the support you get behind the scenes. There were as many as 10 people supporting a group of 5 of us making sure everything went smoothly. I always felt like I knew exactly what to do and where to be.
I would whole heartedly recommend this school to my friends and anyone reading this review.
For anyone worried about diving for the first time this is absoutly the best place you can go.

These folks run a well oiled machine! Most importantly during our Open Water Certification, we felt that our safety was their number 1 priority. Every session was professional and concepts in Scuba were communicated with great precision and repeated as often as required until the skill was mastered. The dive instructors, boat captains and support staff were all focused on a safe, professional, and an enthusiastic fun expierence.
We are looking forward to returning!

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Everything was absolutely perfect! They picked us up and offered to drop us off everyday and even though our place was pretty far, everyone had a great attitude and got us excited to scuba drive during those rides. Our instructor, Zain is exactly the type of person you want to get certified with. He was super knowledgeable, funny, and great at explaining things. Even though he probably had done hundreds of these dives, he shared everyone’s excitement and it felt like he was having fun with us. Even planning the trip was super helpful thanks to Christine. I asked her for some info on diving options and she sent back probably 750 words of what seemed like, personal, not copy and paste information. She won our business before me and my girlfriend even left Denver, and then everyone else somehow managed to still exceed our expectations after that.
Pricing seemed good but to be honest, I didn’t do much shopping around after Christine was so helpful and the price was less than I expected.
I don’t write reviews often and I have to be completely blown away to do so. This place nailed absolutely everything.response / report this review -

Great school and instructors. Was a great experience for my wife getting certified and myself testing my capabilities. They were calm, professional and patient. Every thing was communicated clearly and they made sure everyone was good before moving on. The dive locations were great and got to see some great stuff while learning to dive.

Booked three days of diving with scuba school. Our divemaster Zain was excellent and the sites were all very close to the shop. We saw lots of sharks and some rays as well. Would definitely dive here again.

What a great dive operation! The divemasters were fantastic in every way. Friendly, attentive, safety conscious, and always went the extra mile for us. I've used a lot of dive operators over the years and I'd rank Scuba School and Family Dive Center right up there with the best. Thank you guys for some wonderful diving and a lasting relationship for sure!

This Dive shop is the diamond in the rough!! Small groups of divers, very personalized, great price, equipment is in good shape and most important they take you to all the best places. Every dive I went on I saw sharks, eels, rays!!! They are great!

Scuba School and Family Dive Center is amazing! My husband and I were just on Ambergris Caye and dove with this company for 7 days. We also did our Advanced Open Water class with them. Yemen was our instructor and he was attentive, patient and encouraging every step of the way. All the dive masters (we had Zane) were knowledgable and safety conscious. Zane was always checking on his divers. We liked this company because they use smaller Ponga type boats with more personal attention. All we had to do is put our fins and mask on and sit on the edge of the boat. They hauled our equipment around, set it up, lifted it to our backs before entering the water and cleaned it after each day of diving. We just had to show up and have fun. Awesome friendly company. Ana who works at the shop was so sweet and organized and took care of all our paperwork and scheduling. Thanks guys for a great time!

We had such an amazing experience getting our PADI certification at the Scuba School & Family Dive Center. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. It's a little bit aways from the main part of the island, but it was so perfect for us! They even picked you up in the morning if you didn't have transportation. We got very personalized attention and our instructors really knew what they were doing. We felt safe the entire time. Would totally recommend for families as well.

Awesome dive at Hol Chan! Yemin took me through an overhang and we were lucky enough to see all sorts of cool wildlife including nurse sharks, turtles, barracuda, sting rays etc. My friends were not certified but they had an awesome time snorkeling. The only hick-up we experienced was the process of actually finding the school. It would help to add some bigger signage due to the fact that the taxi driver was pretty confused as to where to go. Overall I would recommend this place and I want to come back to do the overnight to the Blue hole!

Thinking about getting certified in Belize?! Definitely check this place out. The dive shop is located a little bit south of San Pedro town and they picked me up from my hostel making it a cool way to of the island. My instructor, Yemin, was really thorough and made sure everyone in our group (3 students) were comfortable with the skills before moving on to the next lesson - both in the pool and on the dives. The training dives were awesome (saw a 12 ft hammerhead on my first one!) and I loved all of the staff and instructors I came across (Ana at the front desk, Zane the boat captain, and Jovan another dive master). I was able to do 3 more dives and snorkeling after my certification and couldn't be happier with my whole experience. I can't wait to come back and dive again! smile emoticon

Ana, Yeman (our instructor) and her staff were nothing short of amazing! We felt completely comfortable being new divers. The instructions were thorough and patience was unlimited! We were amazed by the dives. We highly recommend their dive school.
