Love, Love , Love Ak' Bol! I came here on retreat with my mom and our yoga studio. The location is top notch and the owners and staff do everything possible to make this a peaceful respite whether joining for lunch or a week. Ak'bol has a special place in my heart!

The coconut french toast was amazing! I ate every bit! The yoga here too is really good! The instructor is amazing and you’re getting to do the yoga on a hut over the water! So peaceful!

This place was awesome! We rode our bikes to this little hidden gem where the owner facilitated the best yoga instruction. She's energetic but calm at the same time. Really liked her nonjudgmental phrases too :)
A funny story: while parking our bikes, a branch fell right on top of me! Thankfully not hurt just a few scratches and she didn't charge me for the yoga session. Great food and coffee too!

Beautiful location for lunch on the beach, however when we went to order our food we were told rudely that they were out of many things on the menu due to yoga retreat guests. The server was short and rude the whole time. At the end of our lunch, the owners German Shepard, who was off leash, approached our table and attacked our friends puppy completely unprovoked. The poor thing was traumatized for hours afterthey were apologetic and concerned, but nothing else was done to compensate for this. I hope from now on they keep their dog on a leash, either that or leave yours at home.

Wish I had the option for 0/5 stars. We are all traumatized. Went for lunch with friends, great food. However there was a yoga retreat going on at the time and most items on the menu weren’t available, which we weren’t told when we were seated. Waiter was not friendly. BEWARE of the owners huge German Shepherd dog which they allow to roam free. My friend brought her puppy and this German Shepherd unprovoked, ran up to it and viciously attacked it. The puppy had no obvious injuries but was very shaken up. If the puppy wouldn’t have been on a leash, where we could drag it out of the fight, it would have been mauled to death. The dog fight happened right at our table where we were sitting and we almost got bit. We did receive an apology from the owner but were given no option of a free lunch or drink or ANYTHING. Very very disappointed in this place which is one of the most beautiful spots on the island.

This is a great spot that we just happened to stumble upon for food/drinks! Great, relaxing spot with beautiful views and wonderful food! Wish we had found it sooner as we would have gone more than once. Taking a yoga class here would have been amazing.

We ate here and loved it. The ambiance is great with a cute pool near the beach side. There was a little area where the kids could wade in without stepping on sea grass and a nice deck and beach lounge area. The food was also amazing. The kids got chocolate pancakes while we got a sampling of all the dishes, made vegetarian for us :)

The best food on the island!!! Just can't be beat. They do however serve the smallest drinks on the island, at the same price as every other bar.

We didn't stay at Ak'bol. Once we found the place we ate at least one meal there every day. The portion are big and the prices are small. Take at least one yoga class its very good.

We didn't stay here, but stopped by for some drinks and food at the beach side bar The pupusas were and or drinks were delicious. But the reason this was so social is because we got engaged on the palapa shortly after!!!

Great restaurant on the beach with very quaint setting. We stayed nearby, but we had a medical emergency while eating breakfast here. Everyone at the place jumped in to help in every way possible. It speaks to the quality of people that stay at this place. The owner, Milio, had returned from town and took us into town to the Medical Clinic after the emergency responders never came. The kindness and generosity of Milio and his wife were incredible. These are special people, and are the type of people we should all want to support in their business. Great location, many of the guests commented on how much they loved the yoga, massage, and activities provided. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a wonderful vacation doing Yoga with a little spice, you came to the right place. We brought our 7 year old son who had the best time of his life. The Soul Kitchen was unbelievable, the best food we ever had on vacation.

This was a wonderful treat! The family and the staff are top notch! If you want to really feel like you are part of Ambergris Caye, this is the place to be. It is an easy walk or bike ride to other locations, but you could totally hide away right here and have great food and beveragesand yogaand hammocks.and a nice breeze. I miss you all already!
