Roberts Grove is Belizes' hidden gem. Fabulous food in main dining room on the beach, at the pier, or try Habeneros for great Mexican cuisine overlooking the lagoon. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, smiling employee faces to help with anything.
We choose to come back here every year and have been coming for the past 10 years. It's our special global retreat and we are world travelers.
Great trips on monkey river, snorkeling, Mayan ruins, jaguar preserve..live u Roberts Grove!
Great destination. Extremely relaxing environment with so much of nature's unspotted beauty to desire.
Gorgeous views, friendly staff, delicious food, and all around good times are all standard fare at Roberts Grove. We had such a fantastic time during our stay. My only regret is that I didn't spend enough time in the hammock that was on our patio!
Awesome place with a pool and a beach Great place to soak up the sun or plan a tour. gift shop and great restaurant. The staff are phenomenally friendly and go above an beyond to make your time special. Highly recommended.
Great location and staff is good too. But for $330 a night oceanfront, there are a few things in low season you'd think would be easier and more available, such as golf carts, and room with small kitchen. But apparently empty kitchen rooms being same price, they don't make priority and hold carts are all broken down. One pool out of operation and few other inconveniences but it's a nice place. Slightly outdated but in a great location!
Great family getaway. Great accommodation, great food and service
Nice Old School Charm. With ample coverage of Palm trees and sandy paths you get the feel of being in the jungle with a great view of the ocean on the beach. A couple of pools, outdoor bar, and great diving right outside your door. If you don't want the sterile feel of a brand new hotel, this is a place that is very well maintained, clean, and has a lot of charm. You won't feel like you checked in to a Holiday Inn Express on your trip to Belize.
My room had a nice view of the beach. For the price I was not impressed with the Mexican buffet I had. Breakfast was good and overall the resort is nice.
Staff is great and how do you beat the location?
Very friendly service and great, place to stay the beach could use some work but overall the place is great pools awesome and employee's are super friendly. If you plan on eating out and not trying to spend a lot of money go to the small shacks they have excellent food and the portions are great for half the cost at the high end restaurants we spent 14 us dollars for 3 meals rather then 50 us dollars out on our first night locales are also friendly
My wife & I chose RG because she has MS and is in a wheelchair, and RG is one of the few places in Placencia with an accessible room. The room is not quite up to ADA standards, but it's workable. The beach itself is not accessible — the hotel has no beach wheelchairs. Nor are there wheelchairs of any kind for rent in Placencia. We traveled with our own folding beach wheelchair. Best thing about the hotel: wonderful, attentive, helpful, friendly staff, happy to make this trip work for us. Less wonderful: We are both avid snorkelers and wanted to explore Belize's barrier reef. Swimming/snorkeling at the hotel itself is difficult (steep beach, rough water). You have to take an excursion boat out to one of the barrier reef sites, an hour's ride away. This adds to the expense (RG is on the pricey side) and effort involved. On the plus side: Once you're out there the marine life is about the best you'll find in the Caribbean, lots of healthy coral & associated diversity. The people at RG's dive shop and at the nearby (and slightly cheaper and more professional) SplashBelize dive shop are helpful, friendly, and ready to go out of their way to make your excursion work for you. For my wife, this meant improvising ways to get her on & off the boat, in & out of the water. In short: the people are great, the hotel is expensive, the snorkeling is distant but excellent, the disability access is sub-optimal but possible, with a little patience & creativity.
Disclaimer: I unfortunately did not get the opportunity to stay at Robert's Grove Beach Resort--even with the great reviews but a lackluster AND aggressive conversation deterred me to.
While searching for a potential resort to stay at, I was excited to find a promotional code at a highly reviewed resort within my budget. After my failed attempts at using the online booking system, I decided to call in instead. After informing the older, female receptionist of my promo code --I was aggressively told they do not have a promotional code and that "I don't know where you got that promotional code but its NOT OURS!" I consistently informed her that I could forward the URL or a picture of said promo code but to no avail. I never been so aggressively confronted as if I am trying to pull the wool over the resort even after offering to send the aforementioned promo code/links. (Travimp website for those who want to validate my claims; if not a google search will suffice.)
If this is any indication of the resort's customer service, I rather take my business else where and advise those who read the review(s) to have some due consideration when booking. Some advice for the resort, don't belittle or yell at the potential clients when they ask a question! I was not pushing the promotional code while booking but rather inquiring about it.
Outstanding location. Wonderful and attentive staff. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Clean beach. Close enough to Placencia and other excellent restaurants. I have nothing bad to say about my stay here. Leaving was very difficult :)
Great place for a vacation or romantic occasion. Has great tours available and beautiful scenery.
I actually had to cancel due to some unforeseen military circumstances that came up. They were phenomenal and waived their cancellation policy and gave me a full refund! Can't tell you how much that meant to us.
Exceptional service, please give them your business. I know we will as soon as we can get a new trip scheduled!
Thank you so much again!!!
