My husband and I booked this resort after reading about it in Travel + Leisure magazine. We booked the one bedroom with the plunge pool. By far, this is the best resort we have ever stayed in. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and spacious. The outdoor shower is phenomenal and the private plunge pool was perfect. This resort was so incredibly quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. We relaxed in the plunge pool and could hear only the sound of the ocean and the birds. The free shuttle will take you into town with arranged drop off and pick up times. Honestly, we only went a couple times because everything on the resort was what we were looking for in our vacation. The food was incredible and the drinks were so good here.
The resort is beautiful with its ocean front location, fantastic pool, delicious food, and relaxing rooms, but where this resort really shines is in its people. The staff is AMAZING here!! From the moment we were picked up at the airport by Gustavo (who showed us various points of interest along the way and provided insight into the culture) to the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted by Carlos and Manny, to the cheerful greetings from Rahim at dinner every night, the staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable here. We were greeted by name everywhere we went and learned the names of most of the staff. Everyone was so kind and willing to go out of their way to make our stay perfect. The front desk staff was always attentive and Carlos was incredibly helpful to us during our stay here. He arranged all of our excursions, spa treatments, and was able to fulfill every request we had. Everyone was exceptional, from the restaurant staff, to the front desk and concierge, to the shuttle drivers, to the housekeeping staff, to the people that got up early every morning to clean the beaches and everyone behind the scenes that worked so hard to keep this property in pristine condition.
We did arrange a couple of excursions through the hotel. We recommend the Monkey River and the Xunantunich tours. Our guides were great, we saw some incredible wildlife, and learned a lot about the area and its history. We also booked a couples massage, and it was unbelievable!! We have never felt so relaxed and I would highly recommend the Deep Treasure massage.
Overall, I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet stay that is looking to relax and enjoy being pampered by the remarkable staff here. We will never forget this amazing place and the kindness of its people.response / report this review -

We had a wonderful stay at Naia. Architecturally it's a gem -- beautiful in a gracious, understated way. Their website does not do it justice. The staff are fantastic. Not only polite and professional, but genuinely warm and happy to go beyond the call for their guests. Everything from the decor to the menus is well thought-through and shows meticulous attention to detail. Mangrove and other native plants have been left to grow between cabañas and on the beach, for example, instead of clear-cutting for a postcard look.
We stayed 4 days. Food was not only excellent, but creatively Belizean, whether local classics or international standards fused with Belizean flavors. Fresh-roasted, high quality coffee beans, a grinder, and a cafetiere & drip machine in each room are a typical touch.

Beautiful resort with an absolutely lovely and professional staff to meet your every needeven though, let's be serious, what could one possibly NEED in a place like this? Private, cozy, and the food and drinks were fabulous. Can you tell that I really loved this place? The resort offered the spa, kayaks and bicycles and access to ancillary activities like hiking, zip lining, snorkeling and diving. Belize itself is a place that we will visit again, and we'll call NAIA home again even if t is just for a week at a time.

Naia is an amazing Belizean experience. Beautifully laid out spa resort, and the staff is outstanding! Extremely manicured grounds, and the spa is an amazing experience in itself. Be prepared to be pampered here!

My husband and I came here for a quick 3 night getaway in February to escape the harsh winter we were having in the US. Though it rained at some point every day during our stay, we couldn't have asked for better weather. I highly recommend flying in to the Placencia airport from Belize city rather than a 4 hour bus ride. The 14 passenger plane to get here makes the trip even more exciting and you get to see the mountains and landscape from above. The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff are top notch. We felt like we were on our own private beach with our own house. With only 36 beach houses, it made It feel so much less crowded and congested than other resorts we have stayed in. I hope It stays this way. It was a quiet and relaxing getaway and so much better than we imagined. It truly is paradise! The spa is wonderful too!! Since we were only here 3 nights we did not have time to go exploring, but they do offer free bicycle rentals to explore the peninsula.

Beautiful setting, and very nice indoor facilities. They thought of absolutely everything! I would have given 5 stars if they had all the little extras like cucumber water, and menus to order a light lunch as you sit by the pool..new place they will get there.

Absolutely magical place to stay in Placencia. The accommodations, staff, grounds, spa, transportation, everything was top notch. I cannot articulate how my wife and I fell in love with the Naia while visiting. We cannot wait for our next stay there.

The best resort/beach hotel experience I can remember having. First class accommodations, superb cuisine, extremely attentive and friendly staff, absolutely lovely grounds - very well maintained - all on a lovely, secluded stretch of Caribbean beach, and beautifully integrated into a tropical wetlands and forest setting that forms part of the experience. The quality of the individual cabanas need to be experienced to be believed. A most restful and peaceful retreat on Belize's fabulous Placencia peninsula. An absolute must.

Our stay at Naia was absolutely amazing. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, all of the staff were very friendly and most came over to introduce themselves. It was my wife's birthday on the day we arrived and as well pulled up to the front the concierge and staff were waiting outside with balloons and flowers which was a really nice touch. Our room was great. The layout of the villa was perfect with large front windows, large bed facing outside, a patio, a kitchenette, separate vanities, and a large outdoor shower. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Naia has a large beach that you can stroll up and down that the staff works tirelessly to keep looking perfect, as well as a pier with a gazebo and hammock at the end to sit out on. The spa was gorgeous with individual treatment suites overlooking the mangrove ponds and the services were very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this resort and will definitely stay here again when returning to Placencia.

The atmosphere, the staff, the facilities, the food, the beach..All top notch!! The villages nearby are full of wonderful locals, restaurants and shops all a golfcart ride away.
