  The service is reliable, the time schedule is quite flexible (not exactly punctual), and the ride is pleasant (with a nice view of the lagoon and Maya Mountains).

  The perfect way to start your trip to Placencia. Take the bus to Independence, walk the 1,5 km to the Jetty or take a taxi instead. Watertaxi goes frequent and cost only 10 Belizian Dollar. The views over the lake and the mangroves are awesome. With some luck you might spot a manatee.

  Better than other water taxis in BZC / San Pedro / Caulker. Smaller boats with better views. Loved it!

  Be aware that the price posted in US dollars is the rip off tourist rate and the real price is half. If they are making a profit with the real rate, it is inexcusable to charge visitors a higher rate. I don't believe in "apartheid tourism" anywhere.

  Got our tickets 1 hour early. Waited on boarding. Run over by locals getting on board only to find out they sold too many tickets and we had to get off and wait 1 more hourfor the next one. Won't be so nice the next time
