Stood here for a week for my cousins birthday. Accommodations were great and everyone there were super friendly. We loved the resorts dogs Lexie and Mara whom accompanied us on walks to various restaurants.

We only stayed here one night but wish we had time to stay a few more. The price was more than right and the accommodations and amenities are great. Highly recommend looking into this place if you are looking for a place to stay in a fairly centralized location as compared to the rest of the island and action.

There are so many things to love about Cocotal Inn and cabanas in San Pedro Belize that it would take hours to describe and we have only been here 24 hours. Friendly, clean, paradise, awesome views and so much more. If you love intimate accommodations this is the place. I can see coming back here every year.

Friendly staff (Ernesto and others were great as advertised, as was the dog Mara, who literally accompanied us to the nearby Aji Tapa restaurant for the entire meal) and amenities made this great value. E.g. sufficient pool and free bikes and kayaks, useful for the 10-20 minute paddle out to the reef, which had nice brain/fan/other coral and even a stingray, making it just as nice as the Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley site (which had larger fish, in part due to how tour operators feed the small sharks from the boat). The room was unique and well-kept, with good A/C, warm water and full kitchen equipment more than canceling out the spotty Wifi.

Being 2.5 miles N of town was fine with us except when we were trying to leave and the taxi came on Belize time, keeping us from going to Neri's tacos again (in town like everything else). If you want to be right in the touristy action, this location is not for you.
