I'm the new manager here. Of course I love the place. I moved from the US to take over the place with my wife. We are making it even better. Partnering with Steve's excursion company, and making improvements to the building. We are changing the name to Spirit of Benque Bed and Breakfast. We look forward to showing you around!

Really cozy and relaxing but some reason websites advertise rooms that I pay for having A/C but they never work?

We had a fabulous stay here and some amazing adventures with Steve, don't forget to book an adventure!

The suite was clean and well stocked. Anything we needed appeared within a short time of the request. The beds and other furniture were all comfy and clean as well. The deck was lovely for our morning coffee

The accomodations are in a local neighborhood where people live and work. Enjoy the culture and spend some time getting to know these lovely people and their way of life. Be respectful of them and the differences.

We can't wait to go back. Thanks Steve for the most amazing memories .. caves, waterfalls, ruins, granite waterslides, slipping and sliding in the gorgeous red clay!!

Had a wonderful time there, if you're really into adventures I would suggest you ask Steve:the owner, about exploring Belize. Had a list of over 125 things to do or see in Belize. The attractions are hidden like the caves and the mayan ruins. so its not like it's right there where you can see them while passing by. And after doing the tours, i had a massage right at the hotel too. It was great.

Location was great. Close to all the attractions. We went tubing the river out our front door to the Mayan ruins.
Take the tour with the owners and guides, it is awesome.
The owners have put together adventure packages like no where else.
Caves, waterfalls, Mayan shamans, medicine trail, pyramid ruins and organic markets just for starters.
We picked from an excellent list of over 125 things to see and do in the area.
Make sure you ask the owners about the SECRET adventure list it's awesome.

Nothig against Steve, he owner, but calling this place a resort is an astronomical overstatement. And calling it a Spa is a blatant lie. Our group and the neighboring room felt scammed. The pictures are very deceiving.

Wonderful affordable hotel, located closest to all the attractions.
Caves, waterfalls, tubing and Mayan ruins are all located by the hotel.
Modern amenities, wifi and ac, and jaw dropping woodwork throughout.

This place is a SCAM! They go by Benque Getaway Hostel on Booking® OR Purple Mayan.
I was charged in advance by this hotel/hostel.
I got there to no one being at the hotel and no one to check me in. No refunds. They just stole my money.
    DO NOT BOOK HERE EVER!
Stay in the city of San Ignacio instead.

This place is amazing! It is very economical and offers great amenties.

We enjoyed the river tubing! Right from the front dock.

The hotel is located close to the Xunantunich Mayan ruins, which was really cool.
We also got to do an amazing cave tour which was very close.
The rooms had wifi, huge ceilings and were very spacious, jaw dropping carvings and woodwork was everywhere.

A must stop for great value!!
