  Barton creek is definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling in Belize. Many tour companies can take you out here for a day, and it can cost upwards of 100 usd per person depending on the activities you do. However, I would recommend getting a car and driving out there yourself. Mikes place is the jumping off point for the cave canoeing, and the canoes and local guides can be found at Mikes. The normal rate once you’re at the creek is $65, but you may be able to negotiate a bit. At the creek you can also swim, cliff jump, and relax with a beer. If you drive, there are plenty more stops in the park

  A beautiful place and an adventure just to get there. The grounds are well maintained and lush. The cave tour is very short and wonderful but the price for the tour is expensive at 65 US dollars (130 BZ) per person.

  Easy paddle inside cave with guide doing all the paddling ( your milage may vary, you might be asked to paddle). Pretty cave formations all along 1 hour round trip.

  wonderful place to be. they treated me like family, and cook the best Belizean food, the house i rented was very clean modern conveniences. high speed internet . the cave tour is absolutely hands down the best river cave in Belize, and yet it is way back in a peaceful jungle the only thing i could hear was birds and howler monkeys. to me it was the only place that deserved 5 star rating from all the places i visited .

  Canoed into a cave. Fun trip. Could do on your own if you have 4WD for the road and canoeing skills. Saw pottery shards from Mayan times.
